Excellent location, helpful staff - a member of staff even came with us in the car to make sure we found the car park easily.
The price of breakfast is not cheap, but the selection was very poor. The hotel wasn't very busy & they put out the bare minimum. There was a notice saying soya milk was available, but on our 2nd morning there wasn't any - we pointed this out & rectified the next morning. The choice of fresh fruit was also very poor. A shame as the tapas in the bar were excellent. Bed very hard.
Best part of town. Can walk everywhere.
Not any communal room only the restaurant.
Room was lovely, stylish and very comfortable. Bathroom was large, clean and facilities were excellent. Restaurant food is brilliant and cheap.
Very noisy due to the bells of multiple churches in the surrounding areas sounding off every fifteen minutes until midnight and starting again at 8AM. Also sound resonates from the high ceilings meaning noise from people coming and going from the hotel, bar and restaurant can keep you awake until the small hours.
The room (except the lack of function of electronic equipment). The location. The service at the bar was excellent.
The electronic equipment in the room looked good but did not work properly. The radio constantly had no signal and the CD/DVD player did not work at all seemed to have a button missing when we looked at the instructions. This was a shame because the room looked fabulous. The service in the restaurant was poor at dinner. We were mostly ignored whilst the waiter concentrated on the Spanish guests. The pudding took a long time to come and when it did the icecream was completely in liquid form.
Location and staff had good conversational English.
Noisy in bedroom above bar
Overlooking the cathedral the renovation and decor of the hotel is superb large room, mine was on the top floor with a huge deck adjacent to the pool area, great bar and restaurant and generous breakfast. A comfortable home from home in the old part of town.
Almeria, I had a scary experience being followed by very shady characters while walking in the waterfront docks area when looking for the beach.
A really nice hotel, charming mansion, great atmosphere in rooms that are designed in a very modern fashion yet really don't cover up the age of the building. And make sure you eat some of the tapas. Delicious.
Nothing, just as a warning for people who do not like churchbells: the hotel IS actually next to a cathedral ;-)
Room was great and staff friendly.
Parking isn't easy but manageable.
Assume we were upgraded, although nothing was said. Very nice large room, with seating area, and large bathroom. Had both a light tapas lunch in the bar, and dinner in the restaurant. Both were excellent
Great location with great views and pool on top of the roof. Very friendly and hard working staff. As the jacuzzi was working it became the perfect stay :) Looking very much forward to next time. Thanks.
Took a couple of visits till we found out that the jacuzzi does work ;)
Great View / Quiet / very central
-big room -great location -great bathroom -great roof top terrace with views to the Alambra and cathedral -very good restaurant with great staff
-bed clothes -table with PC in the middle of the room -room just above the pub very noisy at night
breakfast choice is excellent
rooftoop pool is pretty small, but the terrace itself is fine
Location Suite Tapas Bar Restaurant
Bathroom flooring stained - probably a building problem. The adjacent room generated constant noise from service plant(?) that was audible from the en-suite. No fridge in the room.
Really nice boutique hotel
No fridge in the room ! strange for a 4 star hotel
Near old historic part with good tapa bars near at hand.Garage wasn't easy to find as one way system made accessabity (signs poor or misleading)hard without a 'Tom Tom' Couldn't get Tv on! In our room. 'Apart from that we really enjoyed our stay with comfy beds & lots of space.
Only not being able to get TV on after following instructions written down.
Superb location right in middle of town & opposite the Catedral .. Great friendly staff who upgraded us to a superior room with own terrace overlooking the Catedral .. Best view in town !!! highly recommended !!!
Great staff, excellent location, nice rooms
brilliant location; top class restaurant at relatively good prices for the good quality. Brilliant bar and fantastic tapas-some free with drinks. Our room was fab.
