Blue Sea Gran Hotel Cervantes  

I have been staying at Blue Sea Gran Hotel Cervantes for the last 5 years, once maybe twice a year. The location in the centre of Torremolinos is excellent. The train station is only 2/3 minutes walk away so is ideal for a trip to Malaga centre or for going further down the coast towards Fuengirola. ( Get the train from the airport to Torremolinos, it only costs 1.40 euros instead of 18 euros by taxi). The staff are so friendly & helpful & the hotel is spotlessly clean. I would definately recommend a stay here.

Staff on reception was not kind

I have stayed many times in Cervantes. Consistently good value coupled with friednly staff & great location. Half board, as I did, is great value. Food selection is excellent, including vegetarian options. Rooms are good size. Spotlessly clean in all areas. I always recommend it to others travelling to Torremolinos.

Great change(for the better)since our last stay,will be going back again for a longer stay.Restaurant was good and the food always being checked.Comfortable lounges and outside areas.

I have been staying there for a number of years when it belonged to another company and things have improved considerably. I requested rooms on upper floors and got two adjoining very good sea-facing rooms. The food is really quit good value for money and the staff are very welcoming. However I do find the underground parking fees rather steep at 15 euros per day and the charge for wi-fi in the rooms at 9 euros. Other than that I would recommend this website and hotel to any of my friends or family. I certainly will be staying there every Easter whenever I can.

Close to the railway station, only a short walk to the beach. Rooms are well sized and comfortable. I paid a very good price indeed. Rooftop pool/terrace and gym are clean with good views along the coast.

Third stay over 4 years .... hotel maintains high standards particulaly .... Location, Food, Staff, Value for money...... Consistently the 'best hotel in town'

When u come out of the train station and look up u can see the hotel, really handy for the main shopping, eating area,

Rooms need to be updated, only one english channel bbc World News, Breakfast/Dinner was horrible, prawns werent even in a cold area with no ice, very unorganised with cold food right next too hot food, we decieded after having dinner twice to eat out for the rest of the three nights and only had breakfast twice in the hotel, where the cereal was so rotten I had to spit out the cornflakes, milk wasnt cold. Thank god for good restaurants near by specially Bobbys where we had the most amazing breakfast, no tea coffee facilities in the room , staff were very unhelpful when the Internet was down in the lobby and the comp in the bar wasnt working either, the Bar staff could of needed another few helping hands you had to queue for ages to get a drink, This is not a 4 star hotel, its more like a 2 star

Excellent location, near train, and a stones throw from the beach. Beautiful sea views and rooms with balconies.

The walls are paper thin, you can hear everthing in the surrounding rooms from people talking, to using the toilet and shower etc. This was a big downfall from an otherwise perfect stay. Also, the double room consists of two twin beds pushed together which don't lock. You run the risk of falling between the beds. Pillows are also very flat and unsupportive.

Location is excellent although a lot of the pubs and restaurants were closed during our stay in February. The buffet breakfast had a large and ample variety of hot and cold breakfast and most fruits and cereals.

Surrounding area seems to be somewhat run down during February .Perhaps this changes in the summer.

The location is perfect and the main reason for our stays there, close to the rail and bus routes, main shopping area and a downhill walk (uphill by lift) to the beachfront. The rooftop pool is great and it was nice to see some new sunbeds. Maintenance came straight away when a blown bulb was reported.

The beds are VERY firm and the food is only ok, not great. Perhaps the new owners will improve the quality and temperature or at least install some microwaves so you can get a hot meal. Why do all the Spanish hotels only have one news and one sports channel? We take a small DVD player with us
