Staff Breakfast Location Style Courtyard Building
No lift - so for older people a little tricky
Rooms are very comfortable, large and airy. Plenty of storage space. Bathroom, likewise, spacious and well appointed. Liked mix of old and new in furnishings and art. Staff very helpful. Secure parking very close by, and good restaurants, beach and castle all within walking distance. We'll definitely use this hotel again.
It's very close to calle loreto where there are excellent bars and restaurants. Our room was on the second floor and was cry spacious with a large bathroom. The beach is around 15 minutes walk away from tre hotel
It felt more like living in Spain in a tradition building rather than a purpose built hotel. Loved it.
Friendly helpful staff
Size of suite. Staff and location. Price
Lighting in room. Sunken bath and hand held shower in suite very impractical. Should also let potential clients know about the stairs.
Helpful staff very enjoyable all round have already recommended it to a friend who is coming next year
Loved the traditional aspects of the hotel, beautiful decor, and very helpfull staff. Fantastic location
Would have liked tea & coffee facitiies in the room
This is a beautiful unique hotel that anyone travelling to Denia should experience.
Lovely, quirkey place, family feel, very very nice stay.
Location Interesting style
Stayed in suite Looked good in photo but not comfortable in practise, not enough hot water for the bath, dismal lighting and expensive Standard rooms quite simple and a better choice
Very "quirky", beautifully furnished and decorated. Lots of interesting artefacts. Friendly staff. Quiet location but only a short walk to the centre of town
Parking was a bit of a problem but it was a public holiday
Staff were completely amazing. And the atmosphere and interior were wonderful.
Liked it all - but would love small pool!
The hotel was situated on a small, quiet street parallel to Calle Loreto where there are many bars and restaurants to suit anyone. All rooms have an individual style. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and we would be more than happy to stay there again.
The staff were great and the owner and her daughter. They looked after us well. We stayed in room 103 lovely room. Thank you mrs Jyotsana patel
loved the originality of the hotel, beautiful old tiles, fantastic art, quirky furniture, friendly helpful staff.
The style of the hotel
the hotel itself is so charming. absolutely loved the decor. enchanting from the moment we stepped in. the staff is excellent. very laid back and friendly. our breakfast (typical spanish fare) of toast or croissant, fruit and coffee was included and it was enough to get us through until lunch.
bed was very hard. we had a room on the street. street noise was terribly loud. street cleaners came through at 6am twice. then the unloading of kegs of beer. bang.bang.bang. if you don't want to sleep later than 6am and you love a hard bed none of this will bother you. we had been traveling for 10 days at that point and a good night sleep was needed, didn't happen. would stay there again but would ask to try a different room. internet is terribly slow, but so common all over spain, not just this hotel.
The location in the old city centre, the house itself and a good continental breakfast.
Disappointed by a number of things: an unwelcoming and unsmiling manageress (although other staff were friendly); bad room layout, with translucent doors to the bathroom next to the bed, which meant visible silhouettes (!), a sunken bath but no shower support so bird-baths the only other option (in Spain, 25 degrees outside, and 15 minutes walk from the beach!); just two small gel bottles for three people for three nights; ditto toilet rolls; not acoustically insulated so you can hear voices, snoring, kids etc. from another rooms; a loose floorboard with a protruding screw (ouch!)...Bottom line, a lovely building but a dilettante approach to running a hotel.
Excellent location, lovely Spanish feel to the hotel.Very individual look to the whole place.
Breakfast a little boring, although very nice coffee and fresh orange juice.
ambience and location
no fridge in room
the table for the breakfeast was laid before the fire place. It was a very kind attention and the staff is very friendly. It's the second time I was there and I certainly will return
the clerk at the reception desk was some times the waitress and it was difficult because she speaks only spanish.
Design, staff location, car park,
Finding it using sat nav!
Beautiful looking hotel , very different
The bed was very uncomfortable . Also staying during the time of a festival was awful . Crackers and fireworks being set of all night and early morning . Not good for jumpy people
Quirky, old style. Turtles in the courtyard were fun
Very dark interior in reception etc could make it a bit gloomy. They didn't tell me they had a car park until my second night even though I asked advice about parking before I arrived
