Emma's is very helpful to her guests. And it helps alot that she speaks English well. Breakfast is simple fare but fantastic (because there is no time constraint - you eat whatever time when you wake up). Located not very far from Las Rambla & Plz Catulanya (about 15 mins walk) and is quiet and peaceful in the nights.

Room is rather small so people with >2 luggages may be quite a squeeze.

Excellent location, right in the heart of Barcelona - walking distance from the Ramblas, Paca Catulanya and Gaudi. Rooms are comfortable but the ensuite bathrooms are iffy at best and for the price it isn't great value for money.

Excellent location, couple of minutes for La Rambla (city centre). The idea of 24 hour breakfast is great, the muffins are irresistible :D. We had a size M room which is a bit tiny, but for our perpeous it was appropriate, which was walking around the city 24 hours. Room was well equipped, liked the style and feature of it (listening to music..).

Very handy having unlimited use to tea and coffee after returning from a long day in the city. Great location 2 minute walk off La Ramblas, surrounded by a few good bars.

If possible try to avoid room 6 (our room), directly next to the kitchen which was convenient but the walls are paper thin and you could hear people coming and going all hours. Also on our last night the room above as playing quite loud music, also kept us awake.

Clean and functional, centrally situated, staff very helpful.

Beds hard, ? safe deposit boxes, not sure if there were any.

The location was great. Close to the metro and 5 min away from La Rambla.

The room was smaller than excepted for a "large room". There were two people working at the hostel, while one was very helpful, the other was not very nice at all. Our toilet stopped working one day and when we told her that her response was "sorry, people don´t work on sundays". That was the end of that. I would not recommend this place to others.

I liked that the room and facilities were simple yet in good condition. What I loved the most was 24 hour kitchen access. Kitchen has a fridger and a coffee machine, and you can have free bottled water, juice, yogurt, fruits, cookies, serial, and some basic deli to make sandwiches. Of course it is not for us to take them, but at least you can have breakfast anytime and water anytime in hotel. I loved it.

I arrived there very late around midnight, and I did not know that the receptionist works there only until 9 pm. You have to go to the other Chic & Basic hotel (Born) to pick up your keys if you can't make it by 9 pm. I had to take a cab to do that, so there was an unanticipated cost, but if you arrive during operating hours, there's nothing to worry about.

Best value for money in tje city center. Friendly staff, very clean room, good enough 24h breakfast and of course location.

Bagno: in verità non c'è il bagno, è una zona della camera divisa da una sorta di separè di vetro, aperta sopra. Si deve avere grande confidenza con il compagno di viaggio.... Mancanza di porte antipanico, se scoppia un incendio si deve aprire la porta della camera con la chiave

Boa localização, bem perto ao metro e a praça Catalunya. Café da manha a quarquer hora, fica ao seu encargo preparar: pao, iogurte, presunto, queijo, frutas e bebidas. Eles limpam o quarto todos os dias e trocam as toalhas se pedido. Ambiente tranquilo e sem barulho de transito.

O colchão desconfortável, já deformado pelo excesso de uso. Os quartos proximos à cozinha são mais barulhentos. O banheiro fica literalmente dentro do quarto, como um aquário. O sanitário sempre fica molhado ao tomar banho e vaza um pouco de agua pelo quarto...
