Nice, relaxing surroundings (gardens and poo).
No fridge in room. Also there was a wedding taking place in the evening, so that from 4 p.m. cafe and restaurant were closed and the gardens and pool area from 6 p.m..
The staff at the bar very friendly and the dinner menu is very nice.
I ordered meat and they did not have a proper knife so i had to stuggle quite a bit - on the other hand my partner ordered lamb tagine and it was beautiful.
Location is close to Valdevaqueros. The Restaurant (Arabic cuisine) at the hotel is excellent (and it's best kept secret). The room and bathroom facilities are simple but nice and clean.
The hotel is right on a busy road, while the windows would block the noise perfectly, the door of the room does not; these should be exchanged for other/heavier doors that would address this. We had room 23, which is one of the rooms the furthest out to the street and the noise and heat level may be higher there than in other spots of the hotel. No good restful sleep because of the noise. A/C did not function properly, even after notifying the hotel staff. It only continued functioning manually with the emergency button, for which we had to manually open the actual A/C on the wall each time , we wanted to use it. The staff initially tried to fix it and was very kind and helpful; but it was never properly fixed and stayed this way for the rest of the duration. Not very convenient. The bar does not offer fresh fruit juices (only bottled juices), this is a real shame; maybe this could be considered for the future? The price / quality ratio does not quite work in our view. We paid EUR160/night for 5 nights (27 Aug - 1 September); and EUR90/night for 1 night (1-2 September). Taking account of the location, quality of rooms and general hotel, etc. EUR90-100/night would be feasible; all beyond is excessive. We do not make this assessment in view that the A/C did not work properly but as a factual assessment taking account of location of venue and quality of the venue compared to other hotels elsewhere, including in Tarifa. It is not close to town but 10-minute drive outside; it is not right on the beach but right on a busy street; the windows insulate the room well, the door does not. It is noisy at night. The rooms are nice, simple and clean but nothing spectacular. Majority of staff was very friendly, except for 1-2 exceptions.
I really enjoyed staying here, breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and nice comfort atmosphere.
The bed was okay to sleep on but not for long period. And hair conditioner will have helped too after being in the sea.
Hotel, gadens and pool were very good, friendly staff, good location.
The only negative I have is that non residents are allowed to use the facilities. The Sunday that we stayed we in the hotel two familys with 8 children all non residents entered the hotel gardens for the afternoon. Although they sat on the grass area they made it impossible for us to use the swimming pool for about 3 hours, which when you have paid to be a resident is unnaceptable.
We arrived a day early and the receptionist was only too delighted to help us by providing 2 rooms.
-Lovely garden and pool area -Could use facilities of the sister hotel, Dos Mares, they had an amazing restaurant with an ocean view.
-SPIDERS EVERYWHERE.
Really nice grounds, nice pool, hot tub on roof and breakfast in the garden
Signage is not that clear from the road so can miss the turn off
Not much
Poor service, having to find staff for booking in, more interested in thier friends than clients, unfriendly
Great place to chillout. Fantastic pool area.
Locals are allowed in the pool area
The gardens are great and the mojitos are really good. The location is great as it is a stone's throw away from the beach.
The air con was not working to it's fullest, but then again i am from around here so i opened a window and it was cool at night
Excellent place to chillout, perfect scenery, very clean and comfortable rooms and surrounding areas
No mini fridge in room, restaurant service not what I expected, ok just for a snack
The breakfast was good.
The hotel is at the busy road. The rooms are very dark and small inside.
