rooms although small were clean and decorated to a high standard house keeping cleaned room everyday with fresh towels allowed to bring own alcohol into room/terrace

one member of staff was very rude. no curfew given for terrace area so were shouted at that we had to get inside. better communication of rules could of avoided this.

Excellent location,the room was small but well organized and efficient.

Large bathroom, comfy bed. Clean. Traffic noise minimal even though it is on a busy road.

The location of Hostal Boutique Khronos was excellent, 10 mins walk from the main square where buses to and from airport were situated. Bus Turistic city tour buses also leave from here. We were also only 15 mins walk from The Ramblas, the main tourist shopping street. Khronos was basic but very clean & the staff were very friendly & helpful. The bed was quite hard, but this seems to be the case in many Spanish hotels. there was also a great terrace where free tea was served. Right next door was an excellent little coffee shop. We would certainly stay at Khronos again.

Staff were friendly and spoke English fluently. The room and facilities were very clean. We didn't think the room was small at all - we could fit both our large suitcases in without any troubles. The hostal is also conveniently located in the heart of Barcelona. Passeig de Gracia is within walking distance and Casa Mila is just two blocks away! The metro station is also within walking distance. There are plenty of decent restaurants around the area as well as a laundry service two blocks down from the hostal. All in all, we were exceptionally pleased with the accommodation and would highly recommend the hostal to others.

Could easily have a few more facilities. Wifi is fine. But coffee and kettle in rooms, perhaps clothes iron. Tea making facilities were available in one area, but fairly poor overall. No satellite TV that could work out, and no instructions for TV - appeared to be many spanish stations available. A few channels like CNN, BBC etc would be good.

Clean and very well renovated. The color and design looks simple and pleasant. Definitely worths staying!

Good location, friendly staff

We stayed in "interior room" which is the worst from the hotel I can't believe it's the same price as other rooms. There is no daylight.

The main entrance stair case "look up". Hotels is handy to the city centre. The larger rooms are spacious, ask! All rooms have a modern Ikea feel about them!! Comfortable beds. The large roof top terrace garden. Friendly staff, Freddy and Alex are knowledgeable,can recommend places to eat. Try the "Catalana Cerveseria" a fantastic tapas bar 5 mins down Calle Mallorca, the best ever tapas selection, house wine(LAN). Breakfast in the nice coffee shop downstairs.

Sadly there is no English language TV news channel. No BBC,No SKY News,not even CNN at a time when so many major events are happening.

It is a great hostel actually looks like hotel 4 stars , I like all the thinks specially the location .:)

Friendly staff, outstanding location (walking distance to casa batlo and pedredra, metros 5min, top resto just below, etc.), clean practical room w balcony, and fair price (90eur/night for 2).

If you can live in small room (15m2 or so) with some slight outdoor noise (very low, there are 3 separate windows!), this is a top choice and we would not hesitate to go again. The place did not offer breakfast but resto below hotel was excellent.

The location is excellent for exploring Barcelona, just a few blocks from the Passeig Gracia and landmarks like Casa Mila, and a pleasant stroll to the Ramblas. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. In addition to a charming terrace for all the guests, we had our own private balcony overlooking the street. The staff was friendly and always helpful.

Centrally located and within close proximity of Metro to access areas on the peripheries of the city. The hotel provides a clean and well appointed room with a fully equipped en suite and despite the busy city life the room is quiet affording a comfortable nights sleep. There is a spacious deck for relaxing and facilities for tea/coffee making for guests. The service desks is manned 24/7 with bilingual, informative helpful staff. Overall a highly recommended little hotel in Barcelona.

Very nice staff, attractive decor.

In order of importance: the lack of air conditioning at night, making sleep almost impossible, being told to move on our second AM without warning, the terrible leaky loud plumbing, the lack of top sheets on beds, the cheap and flimsy room furnishings, and the lack of promised amenities like fitness room. Surely there are better choices for the money in this wonderful city.

It was very clean and staff were pleasant and helpful. The location was great and I loved the old building that it was in. The outside terrace was lovely.

We were in room 9 - I think the smallest room - very small indeed and without a proper window with natural light. Bathroom was clean but again extremely small. It was ok. The other rooms looked lovely - I can only assume we didn't pay the same but there was no info regarding this prior to visit. The photos for the hostal are for the spacious rooms with huge windows.

Staff was really nice and kind. Great terrace to relax outdoor. Very spacious and accurate room. Very good position, close to the tube station and to all the facilities and attractions.

Air conditioning was really cold during the night and it was impossible to adjust it.

I found the hostel to be very clean and the room was quite spacious and comfortable, it had all basic equipment required when travelling. The staff were super friendly and very approachable, they were always happy to answer any queries I had and provided good information on the city and other parts of Spain.

I found the walls to be a bit thin but other than that everything else was fine.

Well equipted and contemporary family (4 pers)room at a good location near metro and very close to all the nice "must see" in Eixample

First. I always book a double room for one person. I had room 9. It was well appointed, good bathroom and clean and quiet. There is a terrace between buildings where you can relax on the lounge. There is a kettle and a toaster for the guests to use, but someone had taken the kettle to their room, so i couldnt use it. The reception area is featured in the booking.com photos, and looks very impressive. Wifi in room a bit flakey.

My room , room 9, had only about 3% natural light entry. It had on unopenable frosted glass panel, at head height which, I presume, faced into a light shaft. I was barely able to distinguish between day and night. In winter it would be totally dark.

The location of the hotel is good, as you can walk to Plaça Catalunya in about 10 minutes

This place is awful in just about every respect I can think except location. To sum up: - overall: bad value for many given the quality of the rooms - cockroach in the bathroom (!) - cracks in the walls - run-down furniture - no shelves in the wardrobe - tiny two-person bed - smallest flatscreen TV on the globe - lots of outside noise (from the street as well as the rest of the hotel) - reception desk is right next to most of the rooms: privacy is zero, as walls are paperthin - plumbing from hell: gurgling noises all through the night - airconditioning ide-cold during the day, seemingly switched off after midnight - no baby cot available - bathroom is crampy, shower is tiny and warms up only very slowly - you have to enter the building, hotel floor and room yourself with three different keys, which doesn't quite make you feel welcome.... I could go on for a little longer, but I trust you get the picture. We have stayed in quite a few 4 and 5 star hotels in Barcelona over the years and are always very pleased with the service and value for money that the city's hotels offer. Hostal Khronos, although in the same price range, was a very unpleasant exception....

We really enjoyed our stay at Khronos. The staff were lovely (especially Edwardo), the rooms modern & clean. Very small however the location & decor make up for it. Highly recommended.
