Very friendly helpful attitudes of staff Slightly whacky setting and attitudes Quality of basic services
It was all good
Good location and well connected. Cozy public area. Nice terrace. Overall, good value for money.
The location close to metros and passeig de Gracia. The staff were keen to be helpful (e.g. warning everyone about the disruptions on 11 Sept. Nice to be able to make a drink at anytime and making your own pancakes for breakfast was fun. Wifi easy to use. Also gave spare set of keys to the hotel so we could get back in and retrieve our luggage after checking out.
We felt it needed fresh bread for breakfast (not just sliced) and for some shade in the breakfast room. Some things (e.g. hair dryers) you had to get by asking at the desk but as there wasn't anyone their in the evenings (or part of the day) it was difficult to access these 'extras'. Balcony v small.
Clean, excellent location & facilities, helpful & friendly staff :) Would definitely recommend!!!
Location Staff Availability of snacks and hot drinks Opportunity to stay in small personal hotel
Poor ventilation bathroom
Beautifully situated for all major attractions. Friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again
Very friendly staff, great position, walking distance to everything
The staff was very helpful. They cooked a variety of food every morning which helped a lot. Great way to start each day. The location was perfect. We would highly recommend it to anyone.
- The smell of the bed sheets and the towels were weird !! I guess it's the softener which they are using, i literally couldn't sleep properly because of that strong smell !! - They should have a late check out, i booked a superior room and still didn't get any late check out which was absolutely unfair.
Staff and breakfast
Area of the room narrow compared to what he wrote in the site, I think it is an area of the room with bathroom As well as the room bleak and uncomfortable and the price is not compatible with the apartment
Being our first time in Barcelona, Cien Boutique Hotel defiantly lived up to our expectations. It's welcoming staff members making our stay as comfortable and fresh as possible, offering so much advice on great places to check out. Their added extra of providing a free breakfast was such a delightful surprise. It's in a great location and in walking distance to touristy cites, metro links etc. a definite must stay if you're adventuring to Barcelona. Great place!! Thank you :)
Location, staff and all the added extras which makes Cien seem like a home from home. Great communal areas for breakfast and brilliant pancakes! :)
It was a perfect week for a couple! The rooms is very romantic and the place is in the middle Of centrum, with good restaurant! We will differently come back
I liked service and help of one receptionist (girl) who helped to contact the airport and sea port for our next destination and luggage delivery to hotel.
I did not like the bathroom facilities, they were horrible. At night the streets were crowded with people that annoyed me. The hotel is for sure not for couples with kids. And also, GUESTS SHOUD BE NOTIFIED THAT THERE ARE NO RECEPTIONIST AFTER 7 PM, which is kind of weird and inconvenient should you have any queries.
The proximity to the centre of Barcelona
A room without windows The colour grey everywhere The price! I was shocked.
The staff was great and accomodating. And allowed me to leave my bag even after my check out.
I couldn't watch any english channels.
It is a hostel with private rooms and absolutely NOT a boutique hotel the pictures on the website are completely different from the horrible reality. The guy working at the reception was very kind and helpful but the facilities are really bad, the shower curtains were very dirty the madras very old and bad it did smell in the room and it was very humid and they charged 120 euro/ night it’s a shame. We couldn’t stay there but we had to pay three nights (half our initial stay) and we left the same day .. It did cost us 360 euro to spend 10 minutes in the room since we were not able to cancel our reservation.. we had a very bad experience this place shouldn’t be on booking!!
They offered and did do our laundry for free which was a great help and much appreciated.
I liked the "like at home" feeling at the living room area. And the staff was very friendly. The location is very good - that's something I really enjoyed. Closeby galleries and museums and the main metro routes (also the Airport bus leaves from 20 minutes walk away).
They are selling this as "hotel" - but actually it's merely a questhouse. The rooms are not sound proof and the door is from poor material so you'll wake up when other people are at breakfast if your room is next to the kitchen like mine. The room was small and didn't meet any of my expectations. It was not the cosy relaxing place for me - when traveling alone this is important. The rooms look stunning in the photos, but the quality was a disappointment. The bed was too hard, pillows not very comfy. The ventilation was poor in the room, and when opening the window a weird smell entered the room from the backyard. Too expensive for the quality you'll get.
Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, very helpful staff and a fresh feel. Simple breakfast with everything we needed, a sort of cross over between self catering and hotel.
I arrived on my own, the entrance hall to the building was gloomy and felt very unlike a Hotel..................thought I was in a down town tenement building and was relieved when the hotel receptionist came out to greet me.
Great place that really helped us out when we got somewhat stranded during a French Airtraffic strike - the staff were great and the hotel well placed for a bit of an extended holiday.
Excellent staff, location to center of old section, great tapas
The staff were extremely helpful. The hotel is very close to Passeig de Gracia and the metro and train station. The hotel is casually chic and very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.
On arrival the shared entrance is a bit old and run down looking - this caused initial concern. Our fears were quickly calmed on entering Cien.
We liked the cozy atmosphere of the hotel, the staff were amazing, and the room was very clean and unique, it's in a very good place, 5 minutes away from the metro station and our room with balcony overlooked a big street. The breakfast is more than amazing and they have a snack and drink corner that is open all day long for free
If you open the terrace door, its very noisy in the street but other than that if its closed you hear nothing. The walls are very thin, we could hear everything happening outside in the lobby and we were sure they can hear us inside also.
Nice decoration and confortable.
They don't have hair dryer
