Hotel Cimbel    

Location and pool were lovely and the rooms very large and very clean.

We booked half board expecting the food for a 4 star hotel to be good but it was terrible very little choice as it was a set meal so we ate out most of the time. Breakfast was okay if you like continental - cooked breakfast was the worst I've tasted and always cold.

Pool overlooking beach. good location - drove there - easy to find. Had to pay for parking, but they parked the car for me in their car park.

Very frustrating that although 2 of our party had to cancel and prior notification was given to "booking.com" no reduction was made to our bill !!! Be warned !!

The food was appalling I've stayed in benidorm many times food was worst ive tasted in a very long time we booked for half board and eat there twice both times food was disgusting no calorie counting required here portions were small and not fresh no veg or salads chef needs sacking. If this newly refurbished hotel is going to succeed they need to review their food policy and I think a lot of guests felt same as lots of people came to restaurant door checked out menu and walked away as we did ourselves. I think this hotel may cater for a more home grown client I would not stay again

it was all good. food was nice staff was very helpfull rooms good value and clean, the cleaner was allways happy to see you. there was 8 in my group and all like there stay and would come back thanks.francis group.

Tables not made up at breakfast time,not even cutlery laid out,felt this was very poor standard if not rather primitive for a 4 star Hotel.Very disappointed by this standard.I Left my table to get some more coffee & upon my return it had been cleared of everything! Not a good start to the day.

Hotel staff, miserable and unhelpful. Food sub-standard and not all dietary needs catered for. Take it or leave it attitude. Would never recommend or stay here again!!

Location very good.

Location was perfect. Not noisy as you would expect. All I could hear was the waves all night. It was very relaxing but smack in the centre with easy walk to the old town and right on the beach.

The Hotel Cimbel although in the middle of Lavante beach is in a quiet open location. The Room was very clean with a large balcony with sea views. The staff were friendly and efficient. The pool area is spacious with lots of tables and chairs and sunbeds. The lounge bar area is bright with large windows looking on to the pool area and is comfortable. The waiter service for the evening meal was very good however food could have been a little better but we did eat there every night because the restaurant has a nice atmosphere with crisp white linen table cloths.

We liked the cleanliness of the hotel, especially the room. We liked the view from our balcony (direct sea view). We liked the pool and jacuzzi and especially the location of the hotel.

We didn't like the attitude and unfriendliness of the hotel staff, namely the waiters. The reception staff were pleasant but the waiters were terrible with their service. They mostly pretended we were not there (example : lying by the poolside and requesting a drink seemed to be an impossible task for them, they would ignore us). Eventually we had to go to the bar inside and order and even then the service/attitude was bad. Most unfriendly and unpleasant. Even after generous cash tips, this didn't seem to improve the situation at all. Thank goodness we also tipped the cleaners for the room as I am sure they were most grateful and happy. For this reason only, we would probably opt to go to another hotel.
