City centre location although not as easy to find by car as the seafront hotels

Had asked for a non smoking room and although booking made well in advance of trip none were available. For one night not a disaster but would have been very unpleasant if staying longer. Hotel car park was full although there are public car parks in reasonable walking distance.

This is a fantastically located hotel for the amazing bars in Santander - it's a sophisticated place and this is a great hotel if you want to have great wine and tapas and walks along the bay. El Sardinero is a short bus journey or a long walk but is very easy to get to from the hotel. In short, Santander is an incredible place whatever kind of holiday you want and this hotel is really good value to explore all that from.

Central to all amenities, ferry, train and bus station all within a ten minute walk of each. Staff were very professional, courteous, spoke english well and went out of their way to help. Overall a very pleasant 5 day stay, would definitely return to this hotel and have no hesitation to reccommend The Silken Coliseum for any length of stay in Santander

The hotel is well located to the city centre and bus and rail stations. You need a bus to get to the beaches, which when you get there are clean and well serviced. Buses are very frequent and cheap. The room was large. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was excellent. The carpet was a little grotty. However, the other positives far outweighted this. Reception staff were very helpful. throughout. Santander is well worth a visit

One had to pay to access the internet. Even a basic breakfast was not included in the price.

Very central modern hotel- clean and comfortable - free wifi- nice cafe attached to premises if you dont want to eat in main restaurant- parking at 16 euros per night seems expensive but no other real options in city- and is consistent with other hotels- would definately stay there again -

This very comfortable hotel is in a good location within the city for ferries and the city commercial and shopping centre. It has covered parking albeit at a daily charge. Breakfast is not included but is good value. The hotel is quiet and well managed. There is a restaurant which we did not sample but which is a useful asset it in any Spanish City since otherwise getting food at a convenient time can be problematical.

The hotel advertised itself as being within 500m of a beach. If that is the case then we went to the wrong beach. There is a lovely beach at Santander but we used our bikes to get there. Once you are out of the immediate city centre there is a bike lane along the front. It is too far to walk comfortably to the beach and parking is too restricted to be able to drive with any assurance.

Central location with car parking. Clean and spacious room with travel cot supplied. Pleasant staff.

Breakfast very good with attentive staff. Wifi in room. Good secure parking. Excellent toiletries provided.

Receptionist on arrival unenthuesiastic. Restaurant closed Sunday evening although advertised as open.Bedroom carpet dowdy.Shower holder broken.

Free wifi is a real bonus and appreciated. Restaurant food was very good indeed. Would recommend this hotel for central location.

Location perfect for city and ferry port (two minutes from/to each). Pretty standard 4 star city hotel with good size rooms and good food.
