Secure parking Location to Ferry Port Tapas Bar on site
Air Con not working, room got very stuffy No tea or coffee making facilities Restaurant was closed
The room ( suite ) was very comfortable. We liked the informal café.
The cost of parking is excessive.
position large spaces comfortable bed large bathroom
Great location and excellent facility! Enjoyable stay!
Very nice hotel, kind and helpfull staff, comfortable room.
clean, comfy, helpful, great location
Good location, good value, helpful staff
Bad weather in Santander!
Wi-Fi reception was terrible!
The location, the cleanliness, the size of the room, the staff was friendly.
The beds were a little hard.
Rooms were lovely and clean fresh towels and toiletries every day. Soap shower gel body lotion toothbrush and toothpaste shoe shine and a razor all supplied .bar was nice never ate in the restaurant except for breakfast one morning.
Breakfast was poor for the money charged .we went about 8.45 am and what little was left out of the hot food was cold very disappointed
The location was good. Everything is in walking distance.
It was noisy in the night. The room was located into a narrow courtyard without a view and you could hear a lot of noise from downstairs. The parking was very expensive.
Underground parking at a price Efficient staff Central location close to the port
Great location with on site parking. Good to be near restaurants and shopping. Staff very helpful Great nights sleep - really quiet in our room. No view but no street noise Good value
WiFi poor Room clean but carpet worn Breakfast expensive for quality provided
THE PLASTIC BAR
Location and value.
No particular dislikes. Breakfast (as in most hotels) is expensive Do not expect tea making facilities in the room but always a nice surprise and appreciated if provide.
Hotel is a brilliant location in heart of a great city to visit for a long weekend, close to all sights, buses close, very short walk to Airport bus, lovely bars and restaurants close by, very well laid out breakfast with great choice to suit all tastes, Will stay here again soon i hope.
one hour of rain in four days!
We booked the hotel online as it looked good and close to the ferry terminal. Room was perfect; spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent stay, would recommend to anyone.
Hotel was modern, clean and the location was very good. Breakfast was of a high quality and the staff very professional and friendly. We would happily stay here again
Very convenient, situated right in the center of the city next to the shops, restaurants and site seeings. The rooms are amazing, very nice design, excellent equipped with all comforts and spacy enough.
The free WiFi sucks! Very slow and with many services blocked like Skype and e-mail clients. The hotel offers higher speed wifi connection but at extra cost. I wish it was for free.
Good location and parking garage. Comfortable rooms, adequate breakfast.
Free wifi was not even good enough to receive emails so we had to pay for "fast broadband" which was not fast. In this day and age we object to having to pay for wifi in this price bracket.
Secure parking good clean hotel. Friendly staff.
No restaurant open on weekdays only the cafe.
Location, reception staff very helpful , price
The people at the front desk were extremely helpful. They went above and beyond to help me with my travel plans.
This a city centre hotel with good walkable access to the commercial areas, cathedral and waterfront. The Coliseum offers underground parking which is quite handy in this built-up area though it does cost a rather salty 18Euro a day (a good sized public underground car park can be found not far away near the waterfront – check Google Maps and Streetview). The hotel is clean, well-appointed and modern though the rooms are perhaps a little characterless. Don't expect a great view – this is a confined, built-up area. We upgraded to a small suite (an extra 40Euro a night, ouch!) to get a little more airiness and light. If your budget won't run to that, ask for a high floor. The best thing, we found, about the hotel was its location. Turn left and walk along the next street and you fill find a very pleasant bar (Oh La La) which is great for an early evening sharpener and a nightcap – or more – on the way 'home'. A few doors away is a modern and well-run bakery/cafe which a a great option for a cheap breakfast. Oh, and don't ignore the Italian restaurant next door to the hotel (turn right). We didn't try it until the last night but it is very good with excellent pizza and pasta options.
The bar/breakfast room is the hotel's least attractive feature. It's done out to resemble a kind of 1950s American coffee bar but fails. The result is a rather sombre, bleak environment with minimalist pretensions. Bar staff were a little brisk. Go elsewhere – there's plenty of choice and the prices of refreshments in Santander are surprisingly low for a major European city. There are no views to speak of from the rooms but that is understandable. Being in a city centre there is street noise during the day and occasional rowdiness in the night and early hours. Take some earplugs and ask for a high floor. As mentioned, the car parking is quite expensive at 18Euro a day but this is encountered in all cities.
