Wonderful position in a fabulous city
An extremely rude man in the parking garage, inability to order food in the courtyard unless you sat in a particular seat, failure of the staff to inform us that the air conditioning had broken down in the bedrooms for the two days we stayed in the hotel
great location, good breakfast, very nice hotel it was great to have a meal at the hotel patio:)
we had a room on the first floor, exactly above the automatic front door of the hotel - when the door was opening/closing we heard that(!) that was unpleasant only early in the morning
Location +++... Delicious & very comprehensive breakfast... Parking being on site for such a central location & well priced... Must recommend the excellent light & sound show at the Palace of Christian Kings, & also a restaurant which is just down the road from the hotel - " Bodegas Mezquita Corregidor ".
Beds were very hard & pillows too soft !... Although having convenient underground parking, the entry is very steep, narrow & tight for any car but small ones...
Location is perfect - right in front of the mesquita, friendly staff, onsite parking, nice room, good WIFI
Excellent location and breakfast
It had just gone cold, but no heating was available.
I last stayed there in 2011 and enjoyed my stay . Then the staff were very helpful and even parked car for us. This time the staff seemed clueless, breakfast tasted like plastic no matter what you chose. An ugly machine spewed out various types of coffee with no chance to order a proper expresso although the expresso from the machine was passable. The scrambled egg was like India rubber as if mass produced in some factory and heated up. Even the pastries tasted like cheap cooking oil. When booking the room I requested a mesquita view but didn´t get one, safe had the antiquated system of having to go to reception to pay e20 to get the key, we paid extra for a junior suite which appeared to be one of the previously nice quite old fashioned rooms cut in two to create a "living room" complete with dining table! At the expense of places to put your clothes, almost no drawer space, nasty cheap decor and hard edges to bump into in the dark. Very disappointed in Exe Hotel chain if this is an example .. won´t be using them again !
We probably had the best room of the hotel. It was located on the top floor, could only be reached via the stairs and had its own terrace. Breakfast was o.k. Close proximity to river, center of town and right opposite the Mezquita.
The hotel needs to be desperately renovated (window frames, bathrooms, walls). The room, especially the bathroom was not cleaned properly - we cut our nails over the basin on the first day and they were still there 3 days later. Getting to the parking was an adventure.
Great location right next to the Mezquita and the old quarter.
One way traffic system to find hotel & parking. Hotel should issue in advance route plans so as to minimise risk of fines.
Situated right next door to the Mezquita and the old city quarter yet still quiet and comfortable inside the hotel. Room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.
Couldn't fault this hotel for sightseeing in this ancient city.
great location with a pleasant atmosphere in the hotel.
Central to everything
No view, limited wifi reception in room
The view of the mesquite just across the street felt like you could reach out and touch it it was so close. An awesome feeling to open your eyes in the morning and see the >1000 year old walls. We just walked out of the hotel door and all the main historic sites are within a few minutes walk. Breakfast was very relaxed and plenty to eat with all sorts of food choices The restaurant set menu was good value, although doesn't change so one night is enough
parking ,rich breakfast,location good
Location, garage, hotel generally.
No bar area
Location. Middle of old town - right next to the cathedral.
OK for young people on a tight budget. We found the facility old and worn down. Parking underground was a nightmare. Staff seemed indifferent - at best. Hovered over the mattress to get any sleep.
Proximity to Mesita Ease of parking Breakfast
Rooms a bit tired Bathroom in need of refurbishing
Ideal location beside the Cathedral (you could not be closer !!). Nice patio. Very quiet at night as the shops close very early and there is no noisy bar in the close neighborhood. A lot of restaurants around. City outside parking at a 10 min walk (avenida de los custodios). Do not enter the historical city by car !
Low wifi connection.
Looked out to the walls of the Mosque-cathedral so location to everything was excellent. Car parking underneath hotel good price but VERY tight for larger car. Breakfast buffet good, rooms clean, shower good.
Wifi inconsistent in room kept dropping out but ok in public areas.
The location of the hotel
The walls are thin, so you could hear the neighbours in their rooms, my husbands bed was uncomfortable
A bit old furniture but a value for money
Good location, walking distance to all points of interest
Large room with view of Cathedral. Well-appointed bathroom. Parking on site. Beautiful courtyard. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast at reasonable cost. Most of all-the position was sensational
WiFi coverage was poor in the room and only marginally better in the foyer or courtyard
Lovely courtyard to enjoy breakfast and coffee. Had a junior suite room level 3 with small windows onto Mezquita - quiet and restful. Comfortable bed. Parking was not the nightmare that some have claimed. Just need to be ready for some tight squeezes.
The coffee at breakfast was pretty poor but you can get a good one later in the day. (Good selection of food items though) Dinner was average and if you have the energy look for something more interesting in the Juderia..
Plan carefully how to get there if you drive own car. There is parking in basement. Make sure you have a reservation in advance.
