A good comfortable hotel with all the amenities and a helpful staff. This is a conference hotel, but because there aren't many conferences in August, the hotel was a bit empty, and we got a great deal. Wi-Fi is everywhere, and in my case it was free. They offer you water, and they don't try to nickel and dime you. Everything is modern and in good working condition.

Apparently, the parking is not suitable for long cars, as it has a narrow snail-shaped ramp. I didn't even try it because the staff was very sincere and they warned me that I might have trouble. I appreciated their honesty. But parking is a bit of a problem on weekdays (weekends you can park on the street)

People at the front desk were very accommodating with questions and suggestions of things to do. Security was excellent. Easy to catch a cab.

    No major complaints.

    Location and staff's professionalism.

Inner room looked manky nonetheless the toilet was clean. Noise isolation was poor, could hear loud noise from coupling sound at 5AM.

The hotel is a classic 60's Spanish hotel which do me is a huge attraction. The staff is very professional and attentive. It is well-run and I would recommend it to others. We will stay there again.

the staff were particularly helpful and attentive

little bit far from the centre of madrid but the quality of the hotel outweighs this

location OK Wifi OK Basically there is nothing wrong with the hotel but all the small things that were not OK made me think: Management by chance?

The room: The bed was fine and clean apart from 1 long black hair one the pillow. I removed that hair. The morning of the second night I woke up with another black hair in my mouth. I removed that aswell! Bathroom was fine, but not clean. Dust on the upper walls. TV was not working, but I checked the news on my Ipad - so no big deal. Colours are held in dark green (walls and carpet) and brown (headboard, skirtingboards, desk). It is a matter of taste if you like it or not (to me it was OK) but in a room facing a very narrow (3*3 meters) inner courtyard and not much light coming through the window and just two lamps by the bed and 1 small lamp above the desk, the room was very very dark. I guess the rooms facing the street and the large inner courtyard are much brighter. I can sleep anywhere and I do not mind noise. But for the traveller who can not do that, it was rather loud. The guests in the adjacent rooms were snoring, sneezing, coughing and hawking and I could hear all of it. But it did not bother ME. Management by chance?: Wanted to prolong the stay for another night. Asked the night clerk. He said: Ask tomorrow morning at 8. I did that at 8 o'clock but they could not say if it was possible. I would have to wait and they would let me kow. At 10.35 they called and said it was possible. The following day I wanted to prolong the stay again for another night. I asked the night clerk. He said: Ask tomorrow morning at 8. I did that and I was told it was not possible. No big deal - I booked another hotel around the corner, packed my suitcase and went down to check out at which time I was told that I could prolong for antother night. Haha! A little amusing. Dear management: May I suggest: A really good clean (daily), brighter colours on walls, get rid of the carpets and more a lamps in the rooms facing the very narrow inner courtyards (and then you can charge 20% more).

This hotel is situated in a very central location (we were mainly interested in going to the book fair held at "El Retiro") and it's very easy to access if you are driving to Madrid.

    Everything was fine

The hotel is old, the rooms of the last century, everything is worn, stained, to the curtains, empty mini bar, bathroom with no light ... No I use the car park, I expected for this small car, 15 minutes to go making 50 maneuvers with Mercedes! Was three days, I've been one and I changed for another hotel in the center! Experience 100% NEGATIVE

We have stayed many times at the hotel because of its location to our family in Madrid, so we are familiar with the area.

The power to the minibar and television continued to trip out during our stay and we had to inform reception each time. We never discovered if it was caused by charging our smart phone or a problem already existed with the electrical wiring at the hotel.
