It was very badly signposted and half the access bridge to the hotel had collapsed. It was worrying us whether we would be able to depart the next day and catch our flight; also one of the main access roads to the golf course and hotel almost washed away with police attending. Furthermore the next day there was neither phone nor internet connection, meaning one was cut off. Although the hotel offered various options of pillows, they were all uncomfortable. The jam at breakfast was in little plastic sachets,awful quality and not fitting for a 5 star hotel, similarly the coffee was not good.

The building was amazing.

Spa area was terrible. Broken tiles, dirty windows etc etc.

Beautiful hotel, out of the way and bustle of the town. Food can be excellent but sometimes hit and miss, the starters tend to be better than the main courses. We paid an expensive 45 euros each for a gormet de luxe lunch. It started off super, but got gradually poor. The cod smelled off.... If you are going to proclaim it to be a de luxe menu it needs to be. The final main course was very small, puds were good though. Do not accept the first room if unhappy, we were given a twin room and the double room we asked for 106 was much better than 102! Reception staff a bit unfriendly but restaurant staff all very pleasant. The meal and house wine plus 2 coffess 107, so dear, but room and breakfast good value at 35 euros per person per night. The buffet breakfast is very good apart from the cooked side, chef wants shooting who prepared this....go to a Devere Hotel in uk and see what a cooked breakfast really means!

The cheapest toilet paper!! Why???? A great cd playing but not all the time - change it please!! The scrambled eggs and bacon, very poor, scrambled eggs have milk or cream added and these literally were like rubber and the bacon full of fat no meat. The Spa needs a thorough clean and paint, tiles are missing from the pool and black on tiles under the water. This has been the same for over a year, and we live in Antequera often having a spa day there....can we come and do the job for you? It makes me crazy. This is a multi million euro building, and it seems the managers are not addressing these problems. Also, the swimming pool and jacuzzi totally unheated!! On the bright side no one in it!

Superb food attended by a lovely waitress (Jose) The scenery is spectacular. Will definately stay again.

The breakfast choices were rather dissapointing.

The peaceful relaxing atmosphere, without the forced "frills" of the usual 5* hotel. A true countryside feeling close to a most interesting historic town.

This is a beautiful old building, sensitively restored and upgraded to provide elegance and comfort in an amazing country setting, yet within a few miles of the nearby town of Antequera. The facilities were excellent and staff very attentive, the pool and gym were perfect for a relaxing break. We were pleasantly surprised to be offered a room opening out on to a terrace with fruit and vegetables growing just a few feet away. As well as this the pool and covered car parking were at this level so it was only a short walk along the corridor to get to the car or go for a swim. We stayed four nights, had dinners two of the nights and were not disappointed with the food and at very reasonable prices. All in all a great hotel with loads of character and atmosphere

It was extremely hot - over 40degC at times- during our stay, so a few more shaded areas would have been very welcome - perhaps retractable awnings outside the lower terrace bedrooms and more sun shade umbrellas about the place. Comfortable outdoor furniture such as the kind now available as settees and armchairs in the entrance courtyard would have just added a touch of real class. The hotel presents itself as being 5 star and some extra little features such as just described would have ensured that this rating is fully justified. However - no real complaints and a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Le cadre, la chambre : une très grande suite

La qualité des repas servis au restaurant n'est pas en rapport avec l'hôtellerie : plats sophistiques et vraiment mauvais. Le coulant au chocolat par exemple brûlé à l'extérieur et archi cuit a l'intérieur. Dans la chambre double, 2 lits côte à côte au lieu d'un grand lit.

la renovation du couvent est top le cadre est superbe le personnel très attentif

La qualité de l'hotel (magnifique ancien séminaire et chapelle transformé avec gout et matériaux de qualité). Vue depuis la salle du restaurant.

Le service du personnel n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 5 étoiles (4 grand max..). Hotel à conseiller pour le repos, le calme ou les joueurs de Golf.

Oud klooster omgetoverd in een prachtig hotel met groot respect voor het originele aspect. Zeer rustig. Mag absoluut met een parador worden vergeleken. Super ontbijtbuffet.

Tout était somptueux, magnifique , féerique. Le personnel était souriant, sympathique, ouvert, gentil et attentionné. Vraiment magnifique a vous coupe le souffle

La chambre très confortable et le spa superbe. Le petit déjeuné généreux. La gentillesse du personnel. Le petit potager devant la porte de la chambre et la vue superbe sur la campagne.Le calme absolu.

Le dîner, manque de légumes, il faut en réclamer pour en avoir une toute petite portion et la viande trop cuite. Le service gentil mais approximatif ( erreur sur les commandes, plats et vin).Les plats ne sont pas fameux et c'est un niveau culinaire et gustatif médiocre.

Amplias habitaciones. Estupendas vistas. Buen desayuno

Spa con algunos aparatos que no funcionaban. Malas carreteras hasta llegar al hotel.

Entrada al hotel tarde : aunque se supone que se entra a las 12:00, cuando llegamos nos dijeron que la entrada sería a las 14:00

Un hôtel fabuleux. Accueil et service irréprochables. Un cadre magnifique. Environnement paisible et agréable. Le restaurant excellent. Le service avec le sourire.

Die komfortable Einrichtung, großzügige Räumlichkeiten und Klimaanlage ermöglichen auch an kühlen Tagen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Die Natur drum herum ist grandios und lädt zum Wandern ein, das Städtchen Antequera ist über einen bequemen Fußweg zu erreichen.

Un hotel avec une architecture magnifique dans un petit coin tranquille mais non loin de grenada, cordoba, ronda, seville. Nous avons séjourné dans cet hotel plusieurs nuits et donc nous avons pu apprécié la prévenance et la gentillesse du personnel; Après une journée de visites touristiques, un jacuzzi et une piscine étaient là pour nous détendre. Cétait royal!! Et bien sur, n'oubliez pas de gouter au bon vin que le "maitre" pourra vous proposer pour accompagner les menus variés et originaux. Un petit conseil essayez le foie gras..c'était tout simplement sublime!!. Nous garderons un bon souvenir de ce passage à l'hotel convento la Magdalena pour notre anniversaire de mariage. Tout était parfait
