Great position. The heating in December was efficient.
The hotel is very tired and a bit scruffy, chipped wash basin etc. No rooms have outside windows as far as I know (it was a convent!) The double bed was two twins and the bath was just long enough to sit up in with bent legs. There are a lot of good hotels near by but we left it too late to book them. Last time we stayed in Hotel Amadeus which we really enjoyed.
Wonferful old building with ornate decoration & original features. Perfect location in quiet side street just around the corner from cathedral. Friendly & helpful staff.
Fairly basic facilities & awful foam mattresses. 1st room had no window! 2nd room overlooked bar so was noisy.
The location of the hotel was good. Try and stay in Room 209. Cosy, sweet and VERY quiet!! Breakfast and coffee in the bar was very good.
Requested another 2 nights with limited options. Paid a fortune for the view of the Tower, had very little sleep due to the noise from the alleyway. Uncomfortable beds.
Best location, great breakfast.
Location perfect - in the heart of the old city. A 15th century convent whose interior is wonderful, totally unspoiled. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff.
The bed - Most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. Hotel restaurant - Although the staff were excellent and very attentive the food was poor, at best, and quite expensive. Would not recommend it.
This hotel certainly has an old fashioned feel! The staff are friendly & helpful. We had a great view of the cathedral. They also have flamenco music playing in the bar. You get a good breakfast to set you up for the day.
It was quite hard to find despite it being central! Because the sign that says "Hotel Convento La Gloria" is small and red & yellow in colour, so keep your eyes open! The entrance is down a narrow alley. The other small thing was you could only get wifi access in the lobby, apart from that we highly recommend this place.
the blinded window gives out on the corridor where the other rooms pass. people from elevator or neighbouring rooms pass in front of this window. No fresh air, only air conditionin
We loved the atmosphere, the street below was vibrant with picturesque restaurants very central right by the cathedral of Sevilla. Starbucks at the corner. The hotel itself was quaint with an antique feel . Very nice bathrooms. Overall lovely!
Wifi was only available in the lobby and there was no parking available .The fact that the hotel is so central explains the no parking situation but with suitcases it was a bit complicated.
Location, staff and building/decor and room very quiet
Room felt claustrophobic
lamp missing light bulb, mattress sag in the center, weak Wi-Fi available only near reception
Wonderfully quirky hotel in a fantastic location, good breakfast and lovely helpful staff. Couldn't have wanted more! We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant, Meson Don Raimundo, one evening which was excellent. Seville is beautiful....
The room was cleaned every day, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were simple but pretty
The rooms that are directly above reception could be loud sometimes but it wasn't a big problem
Location is excellent Breakfast was tasty, typical Spanish breakfast Old style Spanish building
Beds not very comfortable
Ambience Convenience to cathedral & Alcazar
Excellent location, beautiful decor and delicious restaurant
Beds were a bit too hard but not uncomfortable beyond sleep
loved the location and breakfast was good and the tapas bar good.the staff were very friendly and the restaurant and original tapas bar are beautiful
we didn't like that the room we had didn't have a window it was very claustrophobic and very small there was only 1 bedside table and we had to ask for a lightbulb for it.
***very friendly staff at the reception desk***very close to Giralda and Alcazar***interesting atmosphere in a very old building from the XV century***breakfast buffet in the restaurant which belongs to the hotel***free wifi in most areas of the hotel***
***very small single room, double rooms may be better***ham could be better for breakfast and spain***
This is a lovely, elegant hotel right in the heart of the city - we had a perfect view of the Giralda from our bedroom window. The facilities are fairly basic, but you don't need any more in this city.
Very fine location. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance (the Convento la Cartuja was a long walk, though). The remaining features of the convent gives an attractive ambiance.
Our room was quite small and had one chair only. Breakfast was OK, but yoghurt should be kept cool. There was no access to the top roof terrace, which presumably would present a fine view of the surrounding buildings, incl. the Giralda.
Excellent location, clean, friendly and helpful.
Beautifull old building with beautifull decorated walls and staircases (old tiles). Perfectly maintained. Very friendly staff.
Great position , close to the cathedral and good bars and restaurants, and a quiet location.
No bad points, no complaints
Good location right off the Giradella bell tower and the Virgen de Los Reyes Plaza. Rooms were quiet and dark - window only into interior courtyard. Good for sleeping.
Very heavy on Catholic relics. Given that it's a former convent, that makes sense. But it seems over-stated and too dramatic. No Wi-Fi in room, only lobby. Breakfast minimal in adjoining cafe.
Good location, facilities and value. There is a bar and restaurant all part of same building which is not obvious when booking.
Hard to find. Even when you have found the right road the entrance to the hotel is up an alley behind the bar.
Very central location, very nice hotel with some lovely features
Very, very restricted internet access (one corner of the foyer!)
