This hotel is all about location - location - location! Excellently positioned close to everything, Sol, Opera, La latina, etc etc. I had a double room for single use and it would have been very smal for two people (although the bathroom was very comfortable). The walls are very thin and you can forget about a long sleep after a late night out (but apparently this is the case for most hotels in Madrid).

Excellent location, spotlessly clean, very good breakfast. Ideal for a short trip to Madrid and easy to walk to all the tourist attractions. We hardly used the Metro at all, except to get back to the airport.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Medium Cortizo. It was comfortable, very clean and location was super. We could walk to all the main attractions. We would recommend this hotel to friends as it is ideal for a short city trip.

Location was excellent, and quiet considering being in the heart of the city. Car park on site if you are driving. Breakfast very good as long as you don't want full English. An above basic, budget hotel.

It was a good, professionally run hotel - the staff were welcoming and helpful, the room was very attractive and comfortable (and in good repair), breakfasts provided a wide range of food, the provision of internet-computers was particularly useful, and the hotel was close enough to all the city facilities (e.g. the Prado) we wished to visit.

We had a very nice deluxe room, everything was just fine, no issues at all. The location of the hotel is outstanding - 5 mins walk from the Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol, great for seeing the city. The staff was very polite and helpful, the breakfast was very good. Overall impression is very positive. Nothing much to say here. The only thing to mention is that you may get a room with the window looking into the tiny backyard with the fire escape ladders. But you just can't expect to have great view from all the rooms in the hotel, so if it is critical for you, check in advance when booking a room.

The roof top terrace was lovely as was the decor in the bar / lounge area. Rooms were basic but very clean and comfortable.Would certainly recomend. The view from the room was not great but as we were not spending alot of time there it wasn't a major problem.

It was a brief stay but satisfying enough. The hotel is in a quite street, near Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol, the center of Madrid. The room had enough space for three and free internet. They recomended a wonderful restaurante in Plaza Mayor, something quite important if you arrive late in the evening.

The cleanliness, value and location are what I liked best about this hotel. We also had free wi-fi which was very important to us. Our room was hot and did not have good ventilation even though we had opened the window. The fan system did not work in our room and I don't think the thermostat did either.

Good location, close to metro station (allthough you need to change twice to take get to the airport) and in the city centre. Friendly staff and good value for money. Free wifi accross the hotel. Rooms didn't seem very sound proof - perhaps not suitable for very light sleepers. Quality of (free) wifi connection often poor.

We chose Medium Cortezo mainly due to its location and it didn't let us down. The location is superb to explore Madrid by walking, It is very close to the central station, so also very convenient to visit the small town like Toledo and Segovia by train. The room is tiny ,could't be 19 square meters as it description. And the breakfast are almost the same during our three days stay.

Location is good, very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast is ok Small room that was not well clean, damp smell in the bathroom in the morning. Definitely this hotel is not excellent, but the location and staff compensate all the rest, especially if you are spending most of the time touring the city.
