The relaxing atmosphere, set by the trotting of horses, the calling of farm animals, and the beautifully tended grounds, was wonderful. The rooms were tastefully decorated and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent including fresh farm eggs and home-baked cakes every morning. Loved the pool.

No meals available after breakfast. Maybe a little bit pricey as breakfasts are extra.

Beautifully restored farm house, perfectly looked after, with lots of personality. The owners and staff took care of us and our 2 year old as if we were family. The delicious and varied breakfast sets you up for a day exploring towns or beaches.

If you go to the Costa de la Luz and you don't want to stay in one of the endless urbanisations along the flat coast, this is the ideal retreat for you: Tucked away peacefully in the mild open hills cape of the hinterland and very handy for beaches and picturesque little towns like nearby Vejer f.e. This is a very well kept old farm with many pretty features and a lovely open and spacious garden! There is a nicely half hidden pool area, various tables and corners to sit in the garden or court yard and a play area for the children. And then there are the horses, donkies and ponies! This is a working horse farm where animals are bred and educated for riding and even shows (which also take place here some times)! The house is decorated and furnished with much taste in a creative matching old style and the absolutely fabulous breakfast will delight you with all the home made delicatesses that the kind and helpful owners spread out in front of you! This is a lovely countryside place to spend your holidays, with or without children. You will feel very warmly welcomed and if you like you can get interesting insight into various topics talking to your cosmopolitan hosts! They will help you with many suggestions and ideas to make your stay a wonderful time.

We liked everything very much! The only little thing you should know: The romantic pretty beds are (in the two rooms we saw) not very broad... I moved to the extra spare one in our room after one and a half nights...

The welcome and friendliness of the Swiss owners , Didier and Francesca. The peace and quiet , the very simple amenities which were lovingly presented....the honesty bar , the fresh cut flowers and the delightfully presented food. If you want a break in a beautiful part of Andalucia look no further.

This was the most amazing place to stay, it was perfect. All the staff were super friendly and Didier and Francois were so lovely, we felt very much at home. They gave us good recommendations for lunch/dinner and local knowledge of places to visit nearby. Breakfast was so good, there is everything you could ever ask for. The location is also perfect, very tranquil. I want to go back already!

We felt like a part of the family and enjoyed the warm hospatility of the owners and the whole staff. The cortijo itself is a wonderful quiet place with a garden of eden surrounded by horse pastures. The environment is of a wide nature, very peaceful and even though very close to Vejer de la Frontera and the different beaches. We will come back, that's a promise!

A wonderful find! By far the best place on our trip and also the cheapest, but with the sorts of facilities and attention to detail otherwise associated with a top notch hotel. Very helpful and hospitable host as well. We both highly recommend this place.

Nothing I would change about the hotel itself. It would be nice to have a town with a restaurant on closer proximity.

Everything - we could not find fault. The owners are so warm and friendly, they create a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We've travelled extensively in Andalusia and stayed in many cortijo's and this is definitely one of the best. Quite simply, it was a pleasure staying here. The beds are very comfy, the rooms are airy and the different areas of the garden/land means there's lots of space to move around and find a quiet spot. The optional breakfast was a tasty buffet and reasonably good value (try the homemade rolls)… The drive to Vejer takes only 10 minutes so it is easy to venture out for dinner, however, do bear in mind this is a remote, rural property so you will need a car.

What a gem! A truly unique experience, staying in this authentic Spanish cortijo. Didier and Francesca were wonderful hosts and made us feel like family. Our daughter even enjoyed a horse-riding lesson with a master Spanish instructor.

    Our stay was too short.

Lovely. Charming. Very warm reception from owners and staff. Beautifully decorated and comfortable bedding. Excellent attention to detail. We traveled with 2 small children and baby. The Cortijo was equipped with everything we needed from toys to playground, crib to baby bathtub and bottle warmer. Terrific breakfast. well stocked bar in reception room. Lovely grounds with pool, playground overlooking horse paddocks and views of Vejer. Horseback riding lessons available. Definitely plan to go back!

No tv in rooms - tv is located in main lounge to be shared by guests.

The hosts, Didier and Francoise and their staff were amazing, really friendly and helpful. Lovely location and my room was very spacious with individual traditional furniture. Breakfast a treat, lots of choice from fresh produce and delicious breads. My luggage got lost en route and Francoise gave me some clothes to tide me through. I also went horse riding, on Kandoko. I had a brilliant stay and will for sure be going back to visit my new friends.

The accomodation was beautiful set off a central courtyard .. The rooms very spacious with stone floors and lovely comfy bed. Beautifully decorated with gorgeous old furnishings . The staff lovely, the grounds beautiful. Very relaxing ! Highly recommend . We were the 1st Australians to stay there, we were told :)

Nothing . Don't be put off by the location about 10 mins drive from Vejer de la frontera .. As parking in town at the hotels is almost non existent . So stay where we did !!

The hosts Francoise and Didier were absolutely fantastic and made us feel at home right away. The cortijo is beautifully restored with nice rooms, a beautiful traditional common living room and a nice breakfast and kitchen area with all kinds of appliances for common use (incl. a laundry machine!). The cortijo also a very nice inner yard with orange trees and tables & chairs to enjoy the shade during the summer heat. The pool area is very relaxing as well with a pretty view on the horse paddocks. One can actually roam the paddock area and at the end you will be able to enjoy an excellent view of the sunset and Jerez de la Fronterra in the distance! I can only recommend this place!
