We arrived at La Perla, a few miles from Ronda, finding it easily, using my iPhone, which never let us down during our tour through Andalusia. We were met by Stewart, who together with Sam, owns and runs La Perla. The guest house lives up to its photographs, and is set in lovely, peaceful countryside. There is easy, parking next to the house. The pool looked wonderful, but it was December!
Our room had a view out over the gardens, with a balcony. It was spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished, with a very comfortable bed and bedding, and equally spacious bathroom. The breakfast was delightful (now I know why everyone comments on it). A basket is left outside your door in the morning with local cheese & ham, baguette, butter & jams and yoghurt with granola, and fresh orange juice. My husband, who needs to be gluten free, was given a gluten free baguette and yoghurt with fresh strawberries. A tea/coffee machine is available for all guests and there was good wi-fi.
All our needs were met and the attention to detail was faultless. Stewart and Sam run La Perla entirely on their own and it is impeccably clean, well organised, and very stylish. They must work incredibly hard to make it all look so easy, and are lovely, relaxed hosts. Sam even finds time to make her own soap which smells wonderful, and I bought some as gifts to take home.
We ate at the nearby restaurant recommended by Stewart and enjoyed it so much we returned the following evening. Fantastic food and we could eat at a sensible time!! Not always easy in Spain.
I highly recommend La Perla Blanca and it's perfectly placed to explore Ronda and the surrounding area.
