Beautifully quaint, warm, comfortable and welcoming, are a few of the words I will use to describe our experience at La Perla Blanca. Stewart, who with wife Samantha own the business, was the perfect host welcoming us into this little jewel of a place on one of the rainiest days in Ronda. Blessed with a laid back, very engaging & warm attitude, Stewart graciously showed us around while explaining all the ins and outs of the place, then he ushered us to our room with a balcony overlooking the whole countryside. He made us dinner reservations at the restaurant next door as well and took time to highlight important must see areas to tour in Ronda the following day. All in all, Stewart gives an entire new meaning to the word "full service”. Coming back to our Finca after dinner, we felt so at home walking into the place. We loved our quaint and rustic bedroom. The bathroom had everything one would expect; the soft, plush bathrobes gave the entire experience a special luxury touch one would only expect in top notch hotels. The comfortable bed was exactly what we needed after a full day of walking all over the fascinating city of Ronda. The next morning our breakfast was delivered to the door in a huge picnic basket filled with home grown fruits, fresh squeezed orange juice, warm croissants, baguettes, delicious cheeses, fresh laid boiled eggs (yes, they have chickens too on the property), Spanish sausage, homemade pots of Yoghurt/granola/honey treats, jams and jelly. That free breakfast was a feast for the eye as well as for the palate. Right outside our room we also had access to a expresso machine that made the perfect cup of coffee to complement the gargantuan feast.
Before we headed out for the day, we walked around the property. The pool area was immaculate and welcoming, the grounds so well kept. I especially loved the fragrant rose bushes, that added the perfect hue to an already color rich background.
