Cleanliness, Convenience, Comfort Staff
Lack of restaurant No English channels on TV
Left spectacles behind but staff arranged that these be sent for ward to a hotel in santander where I was scheduled to stay a few nights later. Impressed that this was done. Also, as we were walking the Camiino, we needed an early breakfast and night porter arranged a light breakfast for us at 7.30 am.(Breakfast officially starts at 8 am). Helpful staff. hotel is in a quite area but close to the beach. Its a little bit of a walk to the town centre but this wasnt an issue for us as walkers.
somewhat more pricey than similar type accommodation in which we stayed over the two weeks while walking the Camino Norte. The only negative!
Good location, very near the wonderful beach and old town. Parking easy outside.
efficient reception, good wifi.
Noisy bedroom, thin walls and plumbing noises.Breakfast very ordinary
very expensive and rooms were hot and bedding old fashioned. breakfast extremely poor
2 mins walk to beach and shops 5 mins walk to town centre
no air con in rooms but good price wifi on and off
Close to ferry ports secure parking for motorcycles
Our room smelt of drains which I imagine there is little the hotel can do about
Laura at the front desk could not have been more helpful to our group who arrived wet, bedraggled and exhausted after hiking though thunder and lightning on the Camino. Our backyard room at the hotel was clean, affordable, and good value for money.
Phoned ahead to let the hotel know we had been delayed. No problems, night staff booked us in at 2am and served us with a nice cool beer. Thanks.
Hotel on a quiet street just few minutes away from beach. We have a room with balcony and a glimpse of the sea. Friendly staff who change us to a nicer room when we do not like the one (though bigger) at the back building. Also good advice on restaurants which we tried and enjoyed.
Room rather small. The bathroom light is sensor type, it's flashing on and off every 10 second or so, very annoying. Slight smoky smell, with open door it is not obvious. Probably they do not restrict smoking in room and the smell is left on the curtains and bedding.
A person at the desk when checked in was courteous and hospitable.
The room was musty with no ventilation. The bathroom has a bit of smell I couldn't get rid of. Probably due to lack of ventilation.
Good location near to the beach and restaurants , quiet area, friendly staff and easy parking. Used as stop over for ferry at Bilbao
Nothing to complain about
Very friendly and helpful staff! This pension is a real gem. Located just minutes from the old part of town, it is very clean and offers a good breakfast. I highly recommend it!
Nothing at all! I enjoyed an excellent stay!
Good location for overnight from ferry terminals
Nice and quiet
Our friends got bitten in their beds
nice clean hotel with pleasent lounge area and exterior seating. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Decor and rooms very clean and well presented.
Breakfast, we live in Spain so are not unfamiliar with a spanish breakfast, but a glass of reconstitued orange, a inch thich slice of barely tosted sliced bread with a choice of only peach jam ( which as luck woulf have it I like) pre-packed cakes and a coffe fell very short of the mark. What could have been a pleasent stay, with the possiblity of a return in season became a major disapointment. We both felt that we whould have been better going out for breakfast, where at least we would have had a choice. Hotels seem to have developed a tendency to cheapen the breakfast to help make the stay more economical, but what this invairably does is have guest leaving on a negative note and not comming back, the lost leader of the discounted room is lost!
Friendly staff. The hotel is in a quiet street just a few metres from the beach and the town centre. Simple but good breakfast for a minimum extra payment.
No air conditioning or fan in the room.
Needed to ask for heating in room, especially as I said I was cold on arrival. (not automatic). Also sure room smelt of cigarettes.
Easy to find excellent value and walking distance to restaurants and shops and beach will use again if can get same rates as is excellent place to stop if taking ferry from Santander
It is a very familiar place, but at the same time extremely proffessional. Sergio and Marga especially made my stay really pleasurable
If anything Breakfast could be a bit more diverse
