The staff and the location even though parking was outside the pedestrian-only town
Set among 300-year old vineyards in the La Rioja-Alavesa region, Posada Mayor de Migueloa is housed in a 17th-century Baroque mansion, Palacio de Viana.
Nestled in the beautiful Basque countryside, this enchanting castle has been converted into a charming boutique hotel with a pleasant restaurant and a tower overlooking the surrounding vineyards.

It was exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful place in a beautiful town right inside the city walls. We arrived with a rental car and parking was nearby and easy. We felt like we were part of the community. From the time we made the reservation, Terri and Robert went out of their way to make sure our stay was memorable. They recommended experiences and made any calls for reservations that were required. Our best memories from our trip came as a result of their recommendations. Do yourself a favor and book a stay at this lovely place!

Laguardia is a stunning place to visit, the views of the surrounding countryside from the town are breath taking. Walking around the walled town's narrow streets is magical, especially in the evening. There are many Bodegas where you can take a wine tasting tour of the underground cellars where they are still used as a winery. A visit to the Church of Santa Maria is a must, book your tickets in the tourist office in the centre of Laguardia. There are many restaurant/coffee shops and shops but be aware that on Sunday and Monday's many places are either shut or only open for a few short hours. The Irish Tavern is great for Pintxos a place many locals frequent also Bar Los Sietes. I highly recommend Restaurante Biazteri 1974 for Pintxos or dinner but make sure your reserve a table if you want the "Menu Del Dia"

What a spectacular place - so unexpected, one of the most beautiful towns I have ever been to. Authentic medieval walled hill town with tiny narrow streets of honey coloured stone protected by huge walls and gates. It’s set in the middle of the stunning Rioja wine making valley, with vineyards in all directions protected by stunning hills and distant mountains, The spectacular views on every side of the town remind one of a medieval tapestry. In the evening the narrow streets are full of locals from kids to grannies in wheelchairs out living the good life in bars and cafes. Gorgeous

LaGuardia is a cute town with tons of history. There is easy parking so getting in and out of town is stress free. There are so many wineries within a short distance that you can do many. The one in town is so cool. With underground tunnels and so much history.

Laguardia is a small fortress village on top of the hill but there are lifts from the bottom road that take you to the village. The place is pretty quaint and crisp. It is worth spending a day there with a visit to one of the bodegas. The church is big and beautiful inside. Worth 2-50e for a visit, Even though the guide only speaks Spanish. Plenty of bars with pintxos.

A beautiful hotel in an amazing location, within minutes walking distance of all Laguardia has to offer. Our room was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and with air conditioning. The owner was very attentive and helpfull. The breakfast was contintental with ample servings. We had dinner in the restaurant below the hotel which was excellent. We parked our car in the public carpark on the road just below the hotel. You can't drive to the door of the hotel however you can drop off our luggage around 50mts away.
Wonderful boutique hotel right off the Plaza Mayor in LaGuardia. Beautiful town. The only difficulty was that no cars are permitted inside the walls of the city. So parking is difficult and can be quite a distance from the hotel. Carrying large or heavy suitcases is impossible. We had to repack from suitcases to backpacks in the parking lot in order to get necessary items to the hotel. Nowhere is this mentioned. Otherwise, the hotel is a lovely oasis in a city where you step back in time.
We have stayed at this hotel several times. It is clear that the family owners have worked hard to create such an interesting and beautiful place with friendly and helpful staff, thank you. Very comfortable and peaceful accommodation with wonderful views. The hotel restaurant, where we had breakfast and dinner has the most marvellous outlook over the vineyard and beyond. The wine tour is fascinating and the food and wine are great! Safe parking for our motorcycle.
Stayed here as a stopover on our way back to Santander for the ferry. Great location, friendly helpful staff. Easy parking. Walking distance to the old town. Amazing views all around the hotel and roads travelling to it.
Evening meal was very nice with good service.
Breakfast was very good as well.
Everywhere was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable.
Perfect location in Laguardia, quiet but easy and quick walk to everything. Hosts went out of their way to be helpful. Room was large and clean and bed was super comfortable.
Views in Laguardia are breathtaking. And Laguardia has many good tapas bars and restaurants to choose from. Tour of Casa Primicia was worthwhile; we'd booked in advance.
The property is conveniently located in the middle of La Rioja, and near many of the smaller & larger bodegas (wineries). It sits within walking distance from the town of LaGuardia which was built in the 10th Century. The hotel has a bar, restaurant, gym, pool & spa! Easy access to the main roads & convenient and free parking.
The view from the room was amazing! Loved that we had windows that opened on two walls! We enjoyed looking over the vinyard and the perfect weather. We also appreciated the window looking into the basement just outside our hotel room where we could see rows and rows of barrels of wine aging. That was a cool feature!
fantastic location, balcony , quiet area, comfortable room, very friendly staff who were informative about the area. nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious
The village of Laguardia is a treasure
The cornerstone of this hotel was laid in 1164, apparently. History oozes from the walls! But the room was clean, with spectacular furnishings and a beautifully appointed bathroom. Very comfortable.
Wonderful mix of ancient and contemporary. Could not get any more central to Laguardia town. Easy parking within 100 metres of hotel but outside town walls. This may not be true in summertime.
Excellent hotel and staff The location in the incredible town of LaGuardia was perfect Javier was wonderful and loved Bodega tour with superb wine A great place to stay
