Hotel Doña Matilde  

Clean and up to date. Comfortable bed with extra bedding available, nicely presented room. Easy parking in service street right outside front of hotel. Pleasant staff.

Minor gripes only - hot water went tepid on 2nd day in the afternoon. Limited choice for breakfast - and coffee was not good.

Close to the exit, roadside parking, quiet and comfortable.

Breakfast was basic but the coffee and orange juice was tasty. No bath. Room smelt slightly of smoke.

It was a convenient hotel to stay for a Friday night. We had booked a week in an apartment across the road and it wasn't ready until the Saturday.

It was next to the main A7 highway between Marbella and Estepona. This caused quite a lot of traffic noise. Also the breakfast was very, very basic.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Everything worked as it should, including free WiFi which was a real bonus. Plenty of clean towels, hairdryer provided. Nice, comfortable rooms with air conditioning and good sized bathroom.

Lack of tea/coffee making facilities in room & no alternative outside of breakfast hours. No information anywhere about Hotel facilities, use of telephone, night porter arrangements, opening hours for breakfast etc.!! Should be some basic information (if only in Spanish!) in rooms.

Handy location to autovia and to visit local facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was poor with little variety, no bread suitably for the toaster. This hotel/pension would be better just offering room only with no breakfast. I usually stay at an hotel nearby however on this occasion it was not available, I doubt that I would use this hotel again.

Great place to stay, I was there for a wedding and only for one day, bus stops right outside, beautiful restaurant next door, free wi-fi, lovely little clean room with plenty of fresh air, air-con that worked. And finally Diego, on the staff who was the most helpful person, and very caring. Also he was very proud of the Hotel, Lovely Mark

Although I did not go to the beach, the main road has to be crossed to get to the it, but there is a crossing right outside, that goes over the road

Once we found our way there, the person could not speak any English but we managed to get by with foot and mouth instructions. Was good value for the money.

Breakfast was very sparse. Not much on offer. No one could speak English, which was a shame as it would have been a much better experience.

The hotel was small and friendly and within an easy walk of several small restaurants/cafés. The room itself was adequate for an overnight stay with a typical continental breakfast. A short walk from the hotel is a small town square very pretty and relaxing for visitors.

There was a distinct lack of hot water and the clean towels had tears and holes in them, and were definitely in need of replacement.

El personal era muy amable y servicial.

Es un hotel muy discreto con pocos artificios. El cuarto de baño es muy basico. El espacio del desayuno pequeno y sin muchas opciones.

O hotel é muito acolhedor, o pequeno-almoço podia ser mais variado mas mesmo assim bastante bom, todos foram muito simpáticos connosco e é um lugar romântico.

Não conseguimos ligar a internet apesar das várias tentativas, talvez a rede seja demasiado fraca.

Que estaba cerca de la urb. Costalita donde mi hermana tiene un apto y que no fuimos a el por estar con otros familiares

Yo en mi casa tengo la tv tambien en alto en mi cuarto pero, ahi la veia nuy incomodo

La atención del personal amable y servicial.

El Restaurant no es para el hotel, lo ocupan para eventos privados.

That the Director, Elvira, had booked a table for my sister and myself at a local restaurant as the hotel's was closed on Sunday night.

The buffet breakfast was very basic.

For us great location as moving to area and wanted to to get a feel. Cancelada is great, Spanish not touristy. Hotel well located for bus stop and beach although a short walk

Room at rear of hotel, was a bit stuffy, air con worked ok, but could have been better. Breakfast, could vary cereal.

Les horribles petits déjeuner et l'amabilté du personnel

Limpiaban todos los dias y tenia wifi y desayuno incluido (aunque no era gran cosa)

la ubicacion no podia ser peor esta en mitad de un poligono y no hay ningun sitio alrededor al que poder ir andando hay que ir en coche a todos lados. La playa que hay cerca del hotel es malisima llena de maleza y abandonada.

Staff at reception cannot speak English, hard to communicate. The table lamp was placed in the middle of the bed. Not sure what was that mean!? Feel something unusual, requested to change room.
