Minor, very minor, but
Would be nice to be able to make a coffee in-room instead of having to dress first
TV's and channel selection need updating
Cafeteria chairs not comfortable but I understand people do sit on these after bathing
No cigarette machine - no es buen :(
(Surely you could hide one somewhere - you're 4 star!!)
I'm a hotel manager so dislike actually staying in hotels. This one, however was different. I stayed in Room 6 on the 10th July for 2 nights. The room is one of around 8 that open directly onto the garden and pool. It means you have no privacy on the little terrace but it has the advantage of being able to lie out on a garden sunbed just outside your room.
The hotel is not easy to find, but once you do, it's an oasis of calm just downtown from a very busy Denia - 10 minute walk to town.
The staff were fantastic, service levels were fast and very efficient indeed. Top marks to the reception staff, especially the lady who has been there since it opened 10 years ago who helped me after my phone had been stolen in Murcia. The cafeteria is open till midnight serving decent snacks and simple full meals so if you miss the restaurant close at 10.30 you can still eat.
I didn't use the restaurant, 20 euros for fixed price 3 course, it all looked nice, if a little brightly lit.
The pool is beautiful, and the gardens really well tended, and it's a lovely calm place to stay.
Excellent bedroom, great shower, and in-room safe.
Not quite as boutique as the pics suggest, but hey, where is! You won't go wrong here.
