overpriced meals poor location
The breakfast was very nice, always filled me us for the day. The room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels being given. The pool is great, nice and sheltered. We went end of Sept, so was quite quiet, which proved difficult to get someone to be serving at the bar. Not all the staff could speak English which made a couple of things difficult, but the hotel was mainly filled with Spanish customers. Used the spa facilities whilst there which was good, although we had to go down on about 4 separate occasions to try and book in.
There is not much to do around the hotel in terms of entertainment, and restaurants, but if you are after a quiet holiday, then this hotel is recommended.
The room was great and we had a room with an amazing view (pay extra for this), the bathroom was very 5 star where we had a hydro -shower! It was like having a spa in your bathroom. Would book again
Maybe an iPod dock or some English TV channels would have made our stay better.
Location was ideal for us as we were heading to a restaurant in the evening which was around 16km on the strip so there was not a big choice of accommodation nearby the hotel was clean, modern, rooms spacious as was the shower room and suited our needs. Higher floors would get a great view I'm sure. It was also quiet so a nun disturbed nights sleep.
We were on the first floor so from the balcony overlooked the entrance canopy which was littered with cigarette ends and debris. The hotel were stingy with lighting. The foyer was dark and unwelcoming and the corridor lights came on only when you we're well along the hall meaning we had to almost grope our way to the lift in the dark. When we sat in the bar for a drink later at night, the lights were put out around us leaving on,y one on and we thought we had been locked out on the terrace. Luckily we found our way out after following the toilet sign. Staff should really have warned us of this.
- location (next to a supermarket, not far to the beach) - modern furnitures and style of the room (Junior Suite)
- unfriendly staff, when we checked in - fridge in the room was missing - safe was closed, when we checked in - the room was dusty, even on request it was not cleaned properly - the air condition in the living room did not work, even on request it could not be fixed - the air condition in the bed room did not perform well - the floor in the lobby was always dirty - the breakfast was more like in a 2 star hotel (bad coffee and juices, no eggs)
Spa & massages were great Pool was lovely and quiet with enough beds etc... Rooms & the hotel were modern Staff were really friendly, efficient and polite
Took a while for the air con to cool the room down Slightly away from other restaurants and bars but if you are driving or happy to stay in the hotel, which is lovely, then this was not an issue for us.
Looking for a modern designed, comfortable, well located and yet affordable hotel in La Manga ? Do not look further ! I stayed 5 days on this 4 star hotel (rather a good 3 star hotel, if u are used to french 4 stars hotels) to meet my yet-to-be girlfriend who was staying nearby. Danya spa hotel will shine with its bedrooms (frankly very much 4 star hotel like, a little narrow perhaps, with a great italian shower though), a decent swiiming pool (a bit short to me, but it has a jaccuzzi on its middle) and its good quality Spa/massages service I did not like its restaurant for breakfast : quality is just acceptable and require an upgrade. Lunch was better. The cleaning of the room was flawless. Most of the clerks really were nice and good professionals. Not all though. Last u need to have a car to go/be in La Manga, mostly to go and explore different beaches and the romantic and only genuine place calles Cabo of Palos fisherman village : that does not mean that the 100m far beach looking on the mediterranean sea is not worth the shot : it is a very good one !
Written in my review above. Breakfast food is the main dark spot
Quiet location. On site parking. Shower was lovely. Staff were very pleasant.
Decor. Lack of air conditioning during the day in public areas which was very uncomfortable in August. No printed information about the hotel. Dirty fridge in the room. The gym is claustrophobic with no windows. Food in outdoor bar is poor quality. Requested extra pillows which never arrived. Limited toiletries in bathroom.
Buffet ok Nice pool
Minibar not functioning properly Shower leaking Airco not working properly Only spanish television channels Located nearby KM14 on La Manga strip = only a couple of bars / no restaurants nearby
The Breakfast was not god and the coffe was terrible
Close to beach, super mercado, restaurants Liked the modern decor
At km 14, it is quite away from the main motorway, gasolieria, banco
Accommodations had two large rooms and a very large, modern bathroom, plus a large balcony overlooking the harbor. However, the pullout sofa was uncomfortable for adults, and the less than friendly staff made this our least favorite stay in Spain.
Staff was indifferent and unwelcoming. Pool closed at 8pm and didn't open until 11am. Hotel was not on the bay or the ocean, but nice beach a quarter mile away.
Suites were great size and modern. Hotel was clean . Marina views great.
Pool sunbeds need upgrade and it Seems that there are good facilities but they need attention.
Pool area nice. So a area nice Staff friendly.
Little choice for breakfast. Too few staff. Had to request staff to purchase drinks at bar. Our room didn't have a balcony when it said it should have one.
Space was great, we had a nice junior suite. locacation is good. Most of the staff were rude, only night shift guy was very polite.
Deco is awful, modern style but too black, funeral style. Breakfast too poor for a 4star hotel.
The rooms were nice and the location was good. The pool was also good
The staff were rude and there was hardly anyone there. There was no minibar and was told there was also no room service. When I called and asked to borrow and iron i was told to come down and get it myself. There was never anyone around at the bar either.
The Hotel had recently been sold to new owners, and rather than waiting until the season started, they opened, inspite of the fact that virtually all the other hotels and restaurants in the area were shut, it was like a ghost town. The hotel only opened one floor, and during our 4 day stay the cleaner did not even turn up one day, and none of the rooms were cleaned. There was only a few staff on duty, and the breakfast was disgusting, they put out about 8 croissants and rolls or cereal. Overall I would say they let themselves down very badly, as the hotel itself was nice, modern and well equipted, but it should not have opened yet, we had a wasted time and didnt enjoy a single minute.
The hotel was tricky to find, because on the outside there is no indication of the name "Daniya La Manga" but some other names. I was also disappointed that there were no reading material of the spa services and prices in the room and those in the lobby were not available in English.
