Very comfortable beds. Good wifi Nice Staff Good location Sweet little hotel, I liked it a lot.
The room as on the street so it could be a bit noisy at night.
Room smelled musty. Temperature outdoors was 30 degrees so I had to open the window as there was no air conditioning. There is a bar along the street with people sitting out being noisy till very late at night / early the next morning. As the festival was on, there was also a fairground close by playing loud music till the small hours. It was so hot and so noisy. I got a bit of sleep after about 4am, only to be woken about 8.30 by noises in the café of the PR 25 de Julio (coffee grinder etc) directly under my bedroom. There is no lift so all cases have to be carried up and down steep stairs. The PR de Julio café shuts about 11pm, after which you let yourself in with a key into darkness - there is no separate hotel reception.
Very helpful, flexible staff, great location for exploring Santiago, for walking to the train station, and close to decent restaurants. The room was quiet and comfortable.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, bright, and the beds were comfortable. Snacks and drinks were tasty. The bath room shower/douche in both of our rooms was roomy. We enjoyed our stay in 25 de Julio and considered it a good value for not only the items mentioned earlier, but for its location. It was close to the hub of activity, but tucked just far enough around the corner provide peace of mind.
Food was limited to snacks only, but the snacks were filling, fresh and tasty. There was no chair in either of our rooms, but a chair may have compromised the available space. As with most of the wand type showers in Europe, it was always a gamble if the wand would stay in a usable position while in the overhead position. I believe in one room it was fine, but in our second room (the one we had for four days), the wand receptacle was loose, allowing the wand to spray only the wall of the shower. This probably could have been remedied easily by tightening the fixture if house keeping would have brought it's condition to hotel maintenance.
Comfortable bed and well appointed room with balcony In old city and close to cathedral
Do to lack of ventilation the balcony doors had to be kept open and Friday night produced a lot of noise from local revellers in the street until 2.30am
Best towels we've ever had. Staff so helpful and kind. Perfect location, safe opposite police station! Help with the case (see what we didn't like).
3 Flights of stairs to room. WiFi not so good. But, don't let it detract you.
The very helpfull staff
The ladie in the reception
Really cute room.... Very quiet. Nicely decorated
The only thing I didn't like was the comfort of the beds
Very comfortable, great location, good value. Dennis Hamlett Oakland, California
Clean, comfortable and well situated. It was a pleasure to come down each morning to the cafe for breakfast. The staff were very welcoming, and the atmosphere was so very very friendly. I had a lovely front room with a balcony. I'll be back.
We are three Grandmas who had just completed the Camino. This is the only hotel in all of Spain who provided an electric kettle, cups and tea. Also jug of milk when requested. Loved the location in the old quarter near the Cathedral, shops and restaurants. Hospitaliers were all friendly, professional and obliging. Loved the attic room with skylight windows.
Sometimes struggled with the x3 flights of stairs plus attic stairs to get to top floor. Just as well we were fit!
very friendly and obliging hosts, nice bright room with balcony overlooking quiet road situated in old part of town. simple but nicely presented breakfast. felt really well looked after. Would certainly return if I get the chance. Thank you PR 25 Julio.
n/a. Everything was very satisfctory.
Central location, close to cathedral and buses. Lovely atmosphere in the square.
After our walk to Finisterre would have loved a bath!
Very central. Nice rooms and friendly and helpful staff.
room was up three flights of stairs - no elevator
A really nice and cozy place, prime location but not in the most tourist-y street. Definitely the best place I stayed at in Santiago so far.
Very convenient location. Good basic comfortable accommodation and service at great value for money.
