Hotel del Almirante  

The location for our short stay was just about perfect. It's views to be treasured.The staff were extremely helpful. Cleanliness of accommodation couldn't be faulted. Tremendous value for money.

It is hard to be critical but whilst it was adequate for our needs, the outbuildings in which we stayed, didn't have the same views as the main hotel. The wardrobe doors need attention.

Quiet and clean. Nice pool area and decent bar for lunches or snacks. Very convenient for Mahon and Es Castell where we could walk to easily. Great staff, they made it special. The tour by the owner is super special!

Breakfasts were passable and got a hit tedious but the fundamentals are provided. I could not drink the tea so switched to coffee. You can augment but you have to pay for yoghurt etc.

Lots and lots of character and the staff and welcome were excellent. The hotel had a colonial main house and some farmstyle, spacious rooms with an old fashioned appeal. Nice pool and gorgeous views of the harbour.

Friendly welcome,historic ambience,but room dated,and bath very basic needs up date badly.our room was stiflingly hot and sleep was impossible breakfast was also basic but room was air con so we lingered!

Hotel badly needs face lift,however we did not see cort yard rooms which may be better, it is a Thompsons hotel so we assume they must be happy

The location, the staff, the pool, historical context. The pool is gorgeous and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel making it easy to get to Mahon and beyond. It's far enough away and small enough to feel that you're secluded but close to everything you need. It takes about 20 minutes to walk into Mahon and about 15 minutes to Es Castell. If you like your holidays convenient, private with a splash of glamour (Mahon harbour) this is the place for you.

Very good value for money. Hotel had charm and atmosphere with the british naval history connection interesting like a museum inside. Well located between Mahon and Es Castell. Staff in restaurant very attentive to ones needs. Free parking,swimming pool and tennis court available.

From the moment we arrived to a very friendly, personal welcome we felt comfortable in this hotel. We were given lots of helpful advice, the room was simple but roomy, it was also very clean and comfortable. The location suited us very well as it was quite convenient to walk into Es Castell and Mao (and the buses were good too).

Puedes encontrarte muy cómodo y bien acogido allí, siempre que te gusten los lugares con historia (incluso hacen visita guiada por la mansión los martes), el trato personal de una negocio familiar, te integres bien entre la clientela británica de cierta edad (muchos llevan años frecuentando el lugar), italiana y francesa, y sepas disfrutar sin televisión. Aún así, nos dijeron que preven modificar la categoría oficial del establecimiento y entonces habrá TV en todas las habitaciones. Las vistas sobre la bahía de Mahón son espectaculares, el ambiente rural de alrededor es genuino siempre que no esperes una naturaleza cuidadísima y artificial. Desde el hotel se llega andando a Es Castell, con un puerto entrañable donde socializar y comer o picar, Cales Fontes. Hay parada de bus para ir a Mahón, aunque también hay acceso directo a uno de los extremos de su puerto a sólo 3 minutos del Hotel bajando por un camino lateral.

Struttura originale e carina, ben posizionata, staff gentilissimo e sempre disponibile.

Camera fin troppo modesta (n. 6). Presenza di formiche all'interno del bagno. Il servizio wi-fi funziona (e nn sempre bene) solamente all'interno del main - building e non nelle varie camere. Nel 2012 credo che un buon servizio internet sia indispensabile a prescindere dalle "stelle" dell'hotel.

Struttura caratteristica, diversa dai mega resort turistici moderni. Ottimo per rilassarsi c'e' un silenzio invidiabile e non c'e' TV !!! Le camere che si affacciano sul fiordo di Mahon hanno una veduta spettacolare !!!

dislocazione camere, mancanza di aria condizionata, ventilatore in camera che non muoveva l'aria, assolutamente inutile, per non parlare del letto.
