good location, staff very helpful, clean and comfortable,wi-fi is actually very good, breakfast either in room or over in Bar across road ,again pleased we booked option of breakfast. Would i return to Hotel--yes.
room 15 did not really have any natural light i.e. outside window. but did not effect experience. TV had only one English Channel ,Sky News but again was not on holiday to watch telly.
Location is good
The room is so bad smelling. We tried to ventilate room till the morning. When we requested room change, they didnt help us.
Location right near the lively Plaza de Merced and short walk into the centre. Very helpful staff and great value for money.
Could have done with a minibar and a couple of draws for underwear etc. Just minor points that didn't spoil my time there
Good location near the Picasso museum and not far away from the old town. Nice room with welcome note and some candies. Amazing breakfast served in the room! Very friendly staff spoke good English. We appreciated that we could left the luggage in the hotel also after the check out as we had our flight in the evening.
Good location, although not really, if you came by car.
The parking lot was quite far from the hotel, with barely an option to drop-off our luggage. The room was dark, and it had a window with a "view" to an inside patio. Very noisy. A lot of dust found under the bed. Colours (black-red-white) appeared to be quite annoying. The hotel is quite old, and you may notice it.
The staff were very helpful and spoke good English. The location was great. The hotel was clean and had a nice interior courtyard with pleasant places to sit outside on the individual floors.
We had 2 single rooms, which were very small and cramped. In one room the TV did not work and the man at the front desk was unable to get it fixed by the time we left. The color scheme and paintings in the rooms were a bit strange/garish; you don't get the full effect from the photos on the Website.
The Hotel was centrally located. Just around the corner from the plaza de la Merced. Location is right in the center of Malaga. Picasso museum is near of hotel. Big supermarket is four minutes distance. Staff is very helpful.Walking distance to the beach and Malaga port. Many restaurant and bars two minutes by walking. Room was clean. Wifi was great.
Some staff english was not enough.
The hotel was very central, just around the corner from the plaza de la Merced. Also it was spotless and very safe.
The location. The hotel room was a bit on the smaller side, but was comfortable. Beds great. Very clean. Great wifi.
The decor was on the wild side. No fridge.
Central position, Family-like atmosphere
A few non-functional details (door to bathroom)
If your a smoker no private area except front door
Very close to maison de cervantes .the best restaurant in malaga
No complaints :-)
The staff was very helpful they allowed me to park in front of the hotel so we could remove our bags and settle down. Walking distance to the beach and clean rooms we had a good stay
Location and helpful staff
Allocated parking expensive
Nothing except rooms next to road maybe a bit noisy for some people rooms inside were very quiet.
Great staff very helpful Awesome location Very good value for money
Interesting art work
Location very good in the historical center Clean room
Interior design, but that's personal taste :-)
24 hours open. Free Wi-Fi. Daily information on noteboard in elevator.
No instruction how to set roomtemperature in operatorpanel for the airconditionunit. Ok. For us anyway. We found out how to do. No refrigerator availible in the room.
Excellent location. Well soundproofed. Clean and comfortable. Friendly helpful staff. Just around the corner from one of the best Tapas bars anywhere (El Tapeo Cervantes). Vouchers for nice breakfast bar on opposite side of the steer included in price.
Poor breakfast, very very bad smell in a hotel
Great location for Picasso museum
location and quality of wi-fi.
Breakfast very poor when compared to hotels in same price range.
Great quality great value hotel. Clean and tidy located right in the centre of Malaga. Staff were superb and very welcoming. Decor may not be to everyones taste but what's not to like about red and black? Great base from which to explore the city and find the Cruzcampo!
We've stayed here half a dozen times now & always been happy with it. Great little hotel, very reasonably priced, all done in red black & white and adorned with paintings in the same colours by the painter after whom the hotel is named. Tasteful too, and not at all garish as it might sound. It's in a brilliant location, only 200-300 metres from the Plaza de la Merced and on the northern edge of the old town (so nice & close for El Pimpi, Clandestino, the Alcazaba, the ruins of the Roman theatre, the Picasso museum and the museum of crystal and glass, etc etc). There's parking nearby - the hotel give you good directions to it once you've dropped off your bags. Rooms are smallish but perfectly comfortable. The ones at the front have great views of the street (good for Semana Santa etc) though they're a bit noisier if there's a feria or fiesta of course. There is a lift. There's no breakfast bar on site but that's not a problem: the hotel has an arrangement with the excellent cafe right opposite who offer a whole range of breakfast choices - and you can order food to be brought to your room if you really need that. A great place to stay - we're really happy to recommend it highly. Room Tip: Rooms facing onto the street have better views but can be noisier if there's a feria or fiesta...
Nothing we disliked - but do ask for a room at the back (facing onto the attractive internal courtyard) if there's a feria or festival on & you're concerned about noise.
