Very good,

This small, boutique hotel enjoys a peaceful hillside location on the edge of Granada, just a few minutes from the magnificent Alhambra. Enjoy the tranquility from the hotel’s own outdoor swimming pool, set on the Cerro del Sol’s pretty grounds. At the same time you can enjoy stunning views of the mountains which surround this monumental city. The historic center of town is a 10-minute drive away, and the ski resort of Sierra Nevada is just 25 minutes away. Relax next to the fireplace in the hotel lounge. You can also enjoy a drink in the bar and make use of the convenient, on-site souvenir shop. Guests can also make use of the free on-site parking and free Internet connection. Handy for Granada City by bus (No. 33) Clean and comfortable rooms with tasteful decor and good bathrooms. Food ok, usual limited continental breakfast selection. A good find, would return. Limited English spoken but got by with our rudimentary Spanish. A very steep hill to get to Hotel, not easy to find in the dark. The front door is kept locked at night, so you have to ring for admittance because only one person is on duty for the whole hotel. .

This is a wonderful Hotel. We couldn’t believe our beautiful room when we first saw it. Spacious, beautifully decorated and with a huge window/balcony with a view to The Sierra Nevada (still with snow on the top when we were there). One of the best things about the room was 2 very comfy arm chairs with a table between them in front of the window, so we could sit in comfort with our drinks and admire that wonderful view in the utmost comfort. The beds were comfy and there was lots of storage space. The bathroom was excellent, large nicely decorated with a bidet, hairdryer and toiletries. Our room (No 3) was on the same floor as reception and it looked down over the nice swimming pool (not in use yet). Downstairs was also a huge breakfast / dining room with a terrace outside where one could eat (or drink). Breakfast was free. Our first day we were up early to go to the Alhambra (less than 10 minutes away by an easy car ride). There were croissant and pastries. After that we got up late and missed the croissant and pastries but there was plenty of everything else and I became addicted to the new Spanish favourite of a toasted half baguette covered in a sort of chopped tomatoes mix with olive oil drizzled on top. We had dinner one night which was very good. It is important to give warning several hours before when you are asked what you want (as they have to get the ingredients. We had a mixed salad to start which came with freshly cooked bread and would have been a meal in itself. Then I had fish and my husband had chicken. Both were good but perhaps my fish was more special. The price was very reasonable and in retrospect we wished we had eaten there more often. The Hotel is not IN Granada – it is in a small suburb called Cenes de la Vega. This is a real advantage if you have a car. There is easy free parking outside. Our satnav had difficulty finding it initially. Coming from Granada it is left up a road going up the hill, an attractive building. The only slight drawback was that Wi-Fi in the rooms was not always possible despite some device outside the room which was meant to extend the signal. But I am sure that will soon be sorted.

We came back to this hotel because of its location and proximity to Sierra Nevada. We liked the ambience, decor and quiet sorroundings. This second time, we did not like the attitude and treatment of hotel staff (including manager). We will not come back to this hotel.

What a wonderful bargain in a beautiful city. Our room at Cerro del Sol was large, with two balconies and views of the mountains. It was quiet, about a 5 minute ride out of the city, but easily accessible by car, bus or taxi. We took the bus into town, and taxi home at night. If you are driving to the Alhambra, it is an easy drive, but we wanted to go into the city at night. The quiet, the views, the pool, the room, the price!

The hotel is at the outskirts of Granada in the foothills and with a nice view of the Sierra Nevada. Still it is only 5 kms from the center down an almost straight road leading to a underground parking (don't try driving in the center. Walking is often faster and taxis are dead cheap). They don't have a proper kitchen. Serious food comes from a caterer when ordered in time, Small bites are prepared ok and even served in your room if you want. We had late night food on our lovely balcony. (Only a few rooms have that). Pool small but ok.

The jacuzzi and view were postives. It is a nice quaint hotel. The hotel is a good €10 taxi to Granada Centro or €18 to the Bus Station. We found that the taxis did not know the hotel or the address and on 2 occasions, we had to ring the hotel for the taxi to get directions. The hotel is located up a really steep hill - the local shops and restaurants in this area are at the bottom of the hill (the walk back up was a struggle so we only went down once). There was a lunch/dinner menu but you had to give 10hours notice if you wanted same. There was only one person manning the reception area upstairs, and the bar downstairs. The pool was not opened until the following week which was not advised when I booked same.

We stayed in a very clean and spacious appartment with 2 different rooms. Nice breakfast, nice view, swimming pool. Unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy the hotel. Very close to Alhambra. Parking was free but not secure.

Raportul pret-servicii oferite foarte bun, amplasare in vecinatatea orasului Granada.
