This small, boutique hotel enjoys a peaceful hillside location on the edge of Granada, just a few minutes from the magnificent Alhambra. Enjoy the tranquility from the hotel’s own outdoor swimming pool, set on the Cerro del Sol’s pretty grounds. At the same time you can enjoy stunning views of the mountains which surround this monumental city. The historic center of town is a 10-minute drive away, and the ski resort of Sierra Nevada is just 25 minutes away. Relax next to the fireplace in the hotel lounge. You can also enjoy a drink in the bar and make use of the convenient, on-site souvenir shop. Guests can also make use of the free on-site parking and free Internet connection. Hotel Rooms: 15

We came back to this hotel because of its location and proximity to Sierra Nevada. We liked the ambience, decor and quiet sorroundings. This second time, we did not like the attitude and treatment of hotel staff (including manager). We will not come back to this hotel.

What a wonderful bargain in a beautiful city. Our room at Cerro del Sol was large, with two balconies and views of the mountains. It was quiet, about a 5 minute ride out of the city, but easily accessible by car, bus or taxi. We took the bus into town, and taxi home at night. If you are driving to the Alhambra, it is an easy drive, but we wanted to go into the city at night. The quiet, the views, the pool, the room, the price!

The hotel had character, It felt like a spanish hotel and not an International hotel. The views from the bedroom are spectacular. It was a very comfortable stay. Thank you

The hotel is at the outskirts of Granada in the foothills and with a nice view of the Sierra Nevada. Still it is only 5 kms from the center down an almost straight road leading to a underground parking (don't try driving in the center. Walking is often faster and taxis are dead cheap). They don't have a proper kitchen. Serious food comes from a caterer when ordered in time, Small bites are prepared ok and even served in your room if you want. We had late night food on our lovely balcony. (Only a few rooms have that). Pool small but ok.

The jacuzzi and view were postives. It is a nice quaint hotel. The hotel is a good €10 taxi to Granada Centro or €18 to the Bus Station. We found that the taxis did not know the hotel or the address and on 2 occasions, we had to ring the hotel for the taxi to get directions. The hotel is located up a really steep hill - the local shops and restaurants in this area are at the bottom of the hill (the walk back up was a struggle so we only went down once). There was a lunch/dinner menu but you had to give 10hours notice if you wanted same. There was only one person manning the reception area upstairs, and the bar downstairs. The pool was not opened until the following week which was not advised when I booked same.

We stayed in a very clean and spacious appartment with 2 different rooms. Nice breakfast, nice view, swimming pool. Unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy the hotel. Very close to Alhambra. Parking was free but not secure.

we did not like the first room we were allocated as it was small and dark and overlooking the street at the back of the hotel. We were told there was no double bedded room with a view so we took a twin which was large, comfortable and had a little balcony with views across to the mountains. Very nice hotel, with friendly, helpful staff. Pleasant lounge, restaurant, bar area with outside terrace. Taxi to Alhambra/ Granada 9 euros. Good value, had a very pleasant 2 night stay. food could be better

A lovely rural hotel with a homely feeling. Room was clean and spacious and had nice decoration and mountain view. The young lady at reception was very attentive, friendly and helpful and prepared a quiet and memorable romantic dinner, just for my girlfriend and myself at the hotel's lovely lounge which has a big fireplace and rural ambience. It is perfect if you have your own transport and want to be close to the centre but away from the hassle. I would recommend this hotel and will return on my next visit to Granada. Greetings from Gibraltar

Staff always helpful and friendly. Noise-free environment (the TV volume is "capped" so that TV will never disturb your neighbours). Convenient for Sierra Nevada Hotel located on a very steep street. Not a good idea to walk into the hotel after a day on the ski runs!

Small hotel, friendly staff. Away from the busy city of Grenada, but close enough for an easy visit. First room behind the entrance is a bit noisy -- you can hear the front door bell and discussion with the guests coming in.

“We were very impressed with this hotel,It is a new hotel, the rooms are very well equipped, the public areas were excellent and the staff were very friendly. It is however a city hotel so there are no gardens but as it is only a 10 minute taxi ride (9€) from the Alhambra Palace it was an ideal location for us. There are a few bars in the area and the Tapas was excellent.” Lawrence, Alcalali |
