Don Fadrique is located just outside Alba de Tormes, 20 minutes’ drive from Salamanca. It offers elegant, air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and views of the garden. The large rooms at the Don Fadrique feature wooden floors and classic-style décor. Each one has satellite TV and some have a hydromassage bath. The hotel’s gourmet restaurant serves traditional Castilian dishes with a modern twist. There is also a café serving drinks and light meals throughout the day. Staff at the 24-hour reception can provide information about what to see and do in Castilla y León. Car rental is also available from the front desk. You can drive to the beautiful Sierra de Gredos Nature Reserve in around 50 minutes. El trato es cordial y el ambiente es familiar, los propietarios viven en el mismo hotel. Hemos estado muy a gusto esta semana en este alojamiento.

Sobre todo el restaurante, la comida es espléndida. Ei agua caliente del baño salía de color amarillento, hubo que dejarla correr largo rato para poder ducharnos. La calefación funcionaba pero no lo suficiente como para calentar la amplia habitación y pasamos un poco de frío.

Excellent Food, Nice Dining rooms, Friendly and helpful staff. Good distant views over the countryside from Hotel One member of staff spoke a little English, Good to have some Spanish knowledge. Dog friendly for guests but not with their own dog. Situated about 1Km + from nearest town, No Lift, Rooms are clean but basic Easy to miss, signage is not too good. Noisy dog chained and fenced up around Gas Tank, Poor creature is neglected.
