The hotel is on the edge of the old city. Excellent surrounding for city trip. Also good restaurants in the neighbourhood for breakfast/lunch or dinner within 100 meters of the hotel. If you want a quit place you walk straight into the parc of Alcazar. The parkingplace in next to the hotel. There is a lot of noice by flushing and showering on other rooms. If you have trouble with sound I would not reccomand this hotel. Also at night you hear the people on the terras outside removing the stuff and building it up early in the morning again.

I came to this hotel after staying in a 4star hotel in Paris, and was worried I was going to really have to go down in quality. Truly, it was just as nice because of the marble floors, high ceiling, open stairway, and room balcony. The location is absolutely perfect!! Right in the middle of the best neighborhood, with wonderful cafes, shopping and cathedral and gardens. You will not be disappointed. The only small drawback for me was no tub....but the shower was hot, with good pressure.

Great location. The man working at the desk when we checked in was unfriendly. He set the wrong tone for a person representing the lovely little hotel.

Lovely hotel in superb location. Our room had a balcony looking out on to the Murillo Gardens which was particularly pleasing.

Its location Staff less than happy and it all seemed like chore for anyone to answer even the most basic question. Rooms were dingy and dark and very old fashioned- needed a refit and modernisation in my opinion.

Some people recommended parking outside Seville and taking public transportation but this hotel was quite easy to access and driving in this part of the city wasn't difficult. The location and hotel exceeded our expectations. It has lots of charm, is on a square with lots of restaurants, in the popular Santa Cruz neighborhood, easy walk to all the sights,. Very close to Los Gallos Flamenco which is one of the less expensive choices but still very well recommended. They listened to our request for a view which turned out to be a room looking down at the plaza – nice view but potential for a lot of noise. As it turned out, the double windows and ac blocked the noise and we had a very restful night. If you’re really concerned about noise, ask for an inside room. Hotel was a bit more complicated to locate than we anticipated. From the direction we were traveling, it was located on the left side of a 4 lane road. Fortunately we spotted the large letters of the golden colored hotel as we drove by the small street and we drove farther until we could turn around. The hotel is on a tiny street with residence only parking. It’s much easier if you just go into the parking garage right off the main road and in front of the hotel and then go to check in.

Loacation is just superb, easy to find, with underground parking available right in front. Rooms not huge but well appointed and spotless. Certainly good for the money. Perhaps a little noisy at night due to the proximity of many restaurants, but then you can always join them! All main attractions are within a reasonable walk , even when it is quite warm. Reception staff perfectly friendly and helpful when approached but perhaps not very proactive. Would happily stay there again. Reception staff perfectly friendly and helpful when approached but perhaps not very proactive. I was sitting in reception clearly trying to get a wifi connection ( not available in the room) which the previous day was fine. After a while I asked and was then told " Oh yes there is a problem since yesterday evening, we have called the engineer". They couldn't put up a sign or tell me as it must have been obvious what I was trying to do?

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and in a great location. Our room was comfortable and a good size. We had wired internet which was free and reliable which we didn't always find in other hotels in Spain. I would certainly recommend Hotel Dona Manuala Casa Modesto.

Good location, close to Cathedral and many good restaurants nearby. Spacious room, clean & tidy. We are put in a corner room so a lot of windows with natural lights and our view is facing the park which is good. We requested a large bed but it is just a combination of 2 single beds. The noise insulation can be done much better. It's a bit noisy at night since it is close to the busy street and even worse when the restaurants downstairs are closing at mid-night. Wifi is weak at room and it even went down for a whole day during our stay.

The location is excellent b/c it's very close to all the action and city life and it's next to the alcazar garden and alcazar. The people were friendly. They had good a/C. The mattress is hard. No hairdryer in the room, but they gave me one when I asked for it. There was no hot water the two nights I stayed there. They had a problem, which didn't get repaired quickly.

Excellent location, clean facilities, free wifi (in the lobby and hallways only). Bed was pretty hard as were the pillows, but this seems pretty normal in Europe. Good clean bathroom. No hot water later in the morning. I asked them about it and they claimed something was broken and being fixed. However, I showered that afternoon and it was hot. Then the next morning it was cold again. Pretty sure the hotel just doesn't have a large enough hot water tank so if you shower later you're out of luck.

1. Excellent location. 2. Our room was very beautifully decorated as well as the hotel itself. 3. Very clean. 4. Air conditioners work independently in each room. 5. Public parking by the entrance to the hotel. This is very important in Seville. 1. There is no refrigerator with a mini-bar inside a room. 2. We got a room on the second floor above a restaurant. When a balcony door is open, the room becomes noisy and smells are coming from the restaurant. When the door is closed - no problem at all.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Location is very central and within walking distance to all the main sites. Airport bus stop at Av de El Cid is a 15 minute stroll to the hotel. Hotel room quite small but not a problem. Main thing was that it was clean and comfortable. Lots of restaurants nearby the hotel. They're are literally dozens on your doorstep. We were spoilt for choice and often went from one restaurant to the next sampling tapas. On the whole I would recommend and stay at the hotel again. Showered in the evening as there was never any hot water in the mornings. Reception staff were not exactly what you'd call friendly, they appeared aloof and indifferent. Not welcoming at all.
