Excellent location. Lovely pool and bar area. Tastefully furnished. Very clean.
It would be good to have facilities for making instant coffee or tea in the rooms.
A superbly furnished, old-style, family-run hotel, perfectly located in the corner of the plaza overlooking the cathedral and the Giralda tower and convenient for everything that Seville offers. The staff were extremely polite, efficient and helpful at all times. If you like style and grace, Hotel Dona Maria cannot be beaten. Perfect in every respect.
Locations was great. Beautiful hotel.
Lovely room( 2) but there was some type of emergency light above the door that was so bright it practically lit the room at night.
Roof terrace, location & comfort
Location and beautiful furnishings?
A little pricey but worth it!
Breakfast not very good
There was nothing we didn't like. The room was huge with a view over busy cafés and the cathedral ... The pool bar was wonderful particularly at night with the cathedral lit up
Location was perfect. Lots of shops and tapas bars nearby. The staff were very helpful and made us feel special. Breakfast was varied offering both continental and cooked breakfast. Will definitely return and recommend to friends.
Drinks in the roof top bar were over priced.
Location and value.
The pool and the bar
The noise from the bar overheAd till three in the morning
No heater at rooms to boil water so i have to ask the bar to get the hot water to prepare something to drink
Stylish, traditional hotel in the heart of the city. Wonderful roof terrace and pool. Fabulous views of th Giralda.
Loved the location, the room, the pool and bar. Everything really.
Nothing to not like.
The hotel has great character. It is, in my view, in the best location in Seville; right next to the cathedral and within walking distance of the main streets for eating and drinking. I have seen some people on here complain about the sound of the cathedral bells, but what do you expect when you stay in a hotel next to a cathedral! For us, this wasn't an issue - and our room was on the front side, closest to the cathedral. We visited in August when the temperature was 40 degrees. It was too hot to do much walking around and so the amazing roof top pool was a great bonus. The views are amazing and it's one of the few hotels in Seville that have a pool so if you're visiting in the summer months, I would definitely recommend this hotel for the pool alone. The staff were fantastic and accommodating. Even before we arrived I sent a few email queries and received prompt and polite replies from Marta. We arrived very late but were greeted with a warm welcome. When my partner was ill on the day we were due to leave, they were flexible about check out and found us another room to use. These gestures make for a great experience on a holiday. We had a superior double room which was a great size with a big bed (although these were twin beds joined together). We had a small balcony looking out towards the square and cathedral. The room was clean and had all the facilities you would need/expect, including free wifi. Given the location, the hotel facilities and the room we had, this hotel is excellent value for money and I would definitely stay here again if returning to Seville.
The only slight negative I would comment on is that the soundproofing in our room was not very good, particularly in the bathroom (we could hear the neighbours showering). But the positives far outweigh the slight negative and this was not really a problem for us.
Very good location.
But we didn't like the rooms. Beds and sheets look old.
Pool bar, view, very central location, staff, breakfast.
Difficult to find, had to follow taxi. Excellent location near the Cathedral with plenty of restaurants and bars.
We did not like the fact that the pool area stays in use until 3 am. We had to move rooms due to the excessive noise. It is best if your room is not on the third floor.
Can't ask for a better location. Great staff. Beautiful hotel and its decoration matches its theme. Staff gave us a complimentary bottle of wine - much appreciated!
More plugs spread out across the room would be more convenient.
Roof top pool and view of cathedral
Rooftop terrace, bar and pool. Stunning view of the Giraldo.
Breakfast room lacked atmosphere
Love the location; across the square from the cathedral; roof top pool was magical for early morning swim (not so good in the afternoon when it was full of students drinking beer in the pool); view of cathedral from one room, other room had back street view but was comfortable bed & good sized bath. Beautiful foyer.
Finding hotel by car was a nightmare as GPS didn't work in ultra narrow streets so you will need a very good map. If it hadn't had been for an old and wonderful Spanish gentleman on a bicycle who offered to take us there by following him, we could still be lost in those old town streets. When we got to the hotel we were told our car was too big (it was a hire car, Astra - not very big at all) for their car park and were sent to a public car park several more narrow streets away that was full. I won't go on. Suffice to say, if you drive, take a toy car and a VERY good map. Great hotel otherwise!
Quite close location to Cathedral, bars, restaurants
Staff can be more friendly.
Great location, nice staff, room was pleasant and well decorated. Had a room with a view to the cathedral which was great. Internet connection was good.
Did not mind, but as it was very central it can be noise during the night.
The view of the Cathedral from the terrace.
