Duran Hotel & Restaurant  

The room and bath were clean and quite large. The staff were lovely and helpful in every way. Very close to the Dali museum we had come to see. I was not feeling too well, and was unable to eat my dinner. The waiter first offered me another choice from the menu and when I said I couldn't eat anything because I had got too much sun, I wasn't charged for the meal [even though it was no fault of theirs]. All in all a very good experience.

The room was very comfortable, pretty big, nice and clean

One receptionist didn't speak english, but we overcame the opstical with a mix of spanish and italian

Hotel location, cleanliness and personnel were excellent. Communication was easy in Spanish, French, English or Catalan.

Do not eat in the resaurant in the off season! Dishes must have been frozen and then reheated. Even the ice cream was old and frost crystaled.

Dali's work is everywhere in the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staffs.

Great place, but we had to move our room because the room smelled like a dead mouse was in the heating vent! Moved to new room but new room had a problem with the heater. Staff fixed heat immediately. Stay was great. Good place especially location to Dali Museum, staff spoke many languages, which was great.

Location

Hotelparking is abit difficult to find and is a few minutes walk from the hotel in another busy street. There is a slight smell or odour in the hotel and also outsidewhich is probably due to old drainage pipes which may have nothing to do with the hotel itself.

The restaurant food and service was excellent! Beds and blankets very comfortable. Great location, easy walking distance (5 minutes) to Dalí museum and other sites and museums in town. We used this as a base for 5 nights and took day trips around the area - to France (20-30 minutes away), Los Empúries (the Greco-romano city ruins - 1 hour), Cadaquéz (1 hour), etc. Tourist information office just a block away.

Parking nearby for 15€ a night is a bit high, but with parking on the street difficult to find, there's not much choice in the matter, unfortunately. Hotel rooms do not have a minibar.

Perfect for a one-night stay in Figueras to visit Dali museum.....wouldn't recommend it for mote than one evening....

The hotel is situated centrally : near to the Dali museum within walking distance.

The restaurant though decorated in a old fashioned spanish style is very impersonnal and its reputation is not what one expects.

The staff were extremely nice and helpful. room was clean and nice. The hotel is located within 5 minutes walk from Dali museum. When checking out, there was no problem leaving our luggage at the hotel, as well as our car in the parking.

Parking in the hotel's garage costs additional money.

Closeness to Dali Museum in Figueres. Nice location. Handy parking around the corner but for a fee.

We stayed one night in a triple on the first (one above ground level) floor. Hotel looks nice, and is in a good location. But there was a smell in the wing we were in. At first we thought it was just a mild moldy smell that would go away once the a/c worked. But the smell did not go away, and we realized that it was a sewage smell. Mentioned it when we checked out, but got no explanation.

The room was really cleaned and comfortable.
