We had a very pleasant stay at Ecozentric. The cleaning was impeccable and the room was modern and clean. Carlos the owner was super friendly and helpful. Nothing to argue about and the location as well was great. We would really recommend Ecozentric!
Clean rooms, nice terrace, close to La Rambla, helpful staff
Great staff who always made you feel welcome. Quiet and cozy hostel with nice modern style. Great location you simply can not beat, minutes away by foot from plaza catalunya and La Rambla. Dont think during my endless travels throughout the years have I ever stayed in such a friendly hotel/hostel.
unfortunately the only bad thing was the thin door to the room which let in every sound from the corridor. Well slept with earplugs so that helped :)
snacks, coffee, staff
Breakfast was pathetic for this price of hotel. Steps within bedroom to bathroom and washbasin inconventient and dangerous .m Rather small for price. Huge bed
This was a loverly place to stay, in close proximity to the main square. The staff were very helpful, the room was clean and fresh. A good all rounder.
It's a bit hard to find, so keep your eye out for the street number more so than the signage.
While we stayed at Ecozentric we were made to feel very welcome. All of our requests were received and met with grace and hospitality.
The air conditioning seemed to be strong in certain rooms and less so in ours, but it wasn't that serious.
- location, close to Pl. de la Universitat, convenient for airport shuttle bus stop nearby - good price-to-quality ratio - nice reception service - pleasant room, with an unusual shape and modern touches.
- it is inside an old large apartment, coverted into several smaller rooms with odd shapes. It was ok, but the room only "window" gave into an internal shaft, thus hearing all neighbours was inevitable, and there was no real day light. But for a short visit this may not be a problem. - breakfast was offered, but was extremely limited (only biscuits and coffee, with a mediocre quality) - no toilets outside the rooms
Friendliness and helpfullness of the staff. The central position. Stylish decor. The price.
Nothing negative, everything was great.
very friendly and helpfull! super location! my son and i had a lovely stay!
very friendly staff.Regular supply all the necessary information and events. great location
Although it is said that the rooms are soundproofed in practice, it is quite the opposite. We really had a lot of trouble sleeping, from noise from reception, hall, other rooms and from the outside. And a very inconvenient is they do not have messages for the door (please do not disturb/please clean my room) and maids every morning several times knocking on the door.
The stay was great, Carlos was excellent and very friendly and helpful. The sheets were cotton and bed very comfortable. Very clean and new and no smells at al, even though it is in a lovely old building. We even had a free concert of Los Sombros one night which we could hear from our balcony. Rooms were soundproof and overall the position of the hotel is A1. Free coffee and cont. breakfast was great. Would stay there again in a minute if I could go back to fantastic Barcelona!!
Room could have been bigger - but if you are organised it is not a problem.
ECO CONCEPT, GREAT SERVICE FROM STAFF. LOCATION
STRANGE NOISES AT ODD HOURS BUT I THINK THEY CAME FROM FLOOR ABOVE
great location, very friendly staff, spacious room (we had a room with a terrace).
everything was very good
The location is quite good. The staff is quite nice.
Beautiful old building So close to the las ramblas Lovely views from terrace Comfortable and spacious room Great bathroom Refreshments available 24/7 Very helpful staff who were always there to help
Ecozentric is one of the best options for staying in Barcelona. It is in walking distance from Plaza Catalunya from where you can easily go by metro wherever you want. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. They really care. To sum up, it's a nice a cosy place, you will love it.
The only thing that I had not expected is that the hotel pre-authorised my card for the whole booking amount one week before we checked in and at check-in charged the same amount. A few weeks later, the pre- authorised amount was released by the bank but you should take this circumstance into account.
Good quality beds, spacious bathroom, good shower, coffee and tea all day available (for free). Very, very central location with good access to multiple lines
Most of all: the air condition was turned off at night - when we would have needed it the most! - (the air condition couldn't be controlled from the room). Also in the room assigned to us there was not really a window to open for ventilation. The room was rather small - wouldn't be convenient with two big suitcases (no space to walk/open the doors - will need to put your suitcase on the bed to open). Furthermore - a few cookies and some coffee I wouldn't qualify as 'breakfast' - but maybe Barceloneans would disagree with me. It was a decent place to stay, with some hostel-vibe to it - but I think giving it a 9.0 is way overrated.
Location and clean rooms
I booked terrace room but they gave me non terrace room, rooms so narrow
- A 30% reduction on parking - Good localization - Clean and as specified on the website. (Private shower and toilets)
The location is excellent, so close to the centre, in a lovely wide street. Isabel on Reception was so delightful and helped make our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms and decor are simple and beautiful. Ours was spacious and very comfortable. We loved the blackboard in Reception/eating area - very quirky and informative. It also has a lift, which was nice for luggage transfer. We would definitely stay here again.
Nothing. Perhaps if I could suggest more detailed instructions when booking on how to access the Hostel on arrival. Each place we stayed had different systems. Here it really is only to advise that you need to press the bell at the outside door. After 3 months I was just getting a bit weary having to email and ask each time (apart from a hotel in Granada).
Great location, very clean with modern décor and only a couple of blocks from the centre of the action in Barcelona, Carlos, was great, helping us with all our questions and needs, I recommend Ecozentric, perfect location opposite the University and quiet at night, perfect. cheers Grant Rob and Sam
Fantastic location - a few mins from airport bus stop, several metro stations, plaça de catalunya and las ramblas. Clean, modern, comfortable rooms in a beautiful old building - v compact but well designed. Very friendly and helpful staff.
All good. Ideally need an extra mirror in the room! And some city maps for when people arrive please :-)
Staff were great! They provided concierge services for us and the common area had tea and coffee all day.
the location was good just a short walk to the placa Catalunya comfortable clean room and a nice touch free tea coffee biscuits and cakes
The staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel is very clean/ new-looking. The bed is very comfortable. The patio is lovely but I would rather the space be used for the room. Close to passeig de gracia- great for eating/ shopping/ casa Batllo. About 7-8 mins walk to place catalunya. Close to a lot of public transport. There is no breakfast option but there is coffee/ tea and biscuits available at all times (more in the morning). There are wonderful bakeries and breakfast places around though.
The room is TINY. It is NOT 13metre square- it would be lucky to be 8! I have stayed in rooms claiming to be 11 metre square that were much bigger. We chose the budget room as thought 13metre square would be enough- Carlos the manager was shocked to see us arriving with our suitcases. We managed but the room was very very tight. The shelves helped for our smaller suitcases. Be very mindful if you are very tall/ large or travelling heavily. The bed isn't very big either and for a couple- you better know each other well. There is glass on the bathroom door- there is NO privacy when going to the bathroom. The wi-fi was cutting out a lot.
