Staff Value Location Cool digs
Eclectic and old, cool decor. Absolutely lovely and super helpful men who runs it. Location is superbly central, easy to get anywhere.
Despite it being super clean, it smelled a bit weird, maybe because it's old. Or just needs a good airing out. The walls are also super thin, don't get a room by the breakfast lounge if you plan to sleep past 8am!
The decor at Eddy rooms is the best! Such a lovely place to stay, it feels so homely. Gunter was extremely helpful and so was Norbert. I think they must be the nicest staff in all of Barcelona! The location was perfect and we could find our way around with ease. Lots of wonderful restaurants very near by. Great value for money.
The internet and television would drop out of signal, though we didn't mind so much as we were out seeing the sights and what not. The walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbours crystal clear. Lucky ours only snored a little bit. Don't let those things deter you, it's a great place to stay!
We don't know why this hostel got such high scores. We are now in Madrid, we are staying hostel as well (same price), a big room with shower and toilet, and it is cleaned everyday. Clean is very important for me.
Perfect location Friendly staff Comfortable room Good interior design metro station is near
Beautiful 200-year-old hause and classic flat. Close to everything.
A little bit noisy.
The building is 200 years old but well preserved. The interior is nicely decorated and the staff was really helpful and nice
The place does not have a sign on the street and it might be a pain to locate it. The wifi is not stable, at least for my room during my stay
Great location for seeing Barcelona Close to main square Wifi was fast and reliable Access to tea and coffee all day was a plus Excellent value for money!
Pipe above room door dripped, leaving water on the floor.
The staff and the location.
The beds are simple.
The location is perfect, very close to 2 different metro stations and the heart of the city is 15 minutes walk away. The personnel is so welcoming they treat you as "guests" not customers at all. The old building, nostalgic elevator, "retro" decoration of the room, the balcony,in fact overall ambiance is really cool. The apartment, the room and even the shared bathroom was so clean too.
The bed was a bit uncomfortable to be honest but it doesn't kill you in 3 nights. The "ensuite" bathroom was separated from the bedroom with only a curtain instead of a door which was a bit weird and as there was a hole on the base of the shower cabin it caused a flow of water in the room. But still perfect value for 25 Euro per night per person...
Host, shared area
very noisy at night and in the morning because we could hear the other guests through the door of our bedroom
Location, beautiful hostel, good host, good tips for do's and don'ts. Helpful to make you enjoy your stay. Coöperative in any way. Born host.
Although it's somehow very acoustic, it was not a problem because of the quiet guests. Would have loved to use the bath. But there was no plug there. But, on the other hand, I didn't ask for one.
- Very nice staff - went all out to make sure we know the important spots, how to get there etc. - Free wifi, nice interior (200 yr old building!) - 10 - 15 mins walk from Placa Catalunya (where the Aerobus location is)
- Noise insulation wasn't great - Bedding a bit dated + hard - Location is a bit hard to find at first, no visible sign, you just see the number 46, and will need to press the buzzer to ask the reception to open the front door (the reception is at 3rd floor, and the building is shared by multiple folks)
fridge table tea and coffee plates and bowls
it was all good price is a little high but its ok
Beautiful decor, excellent location and friendly staff.
Mattress was very hard, and the lift broke down, but on balance its still excellent value for money.
It was really wonderfull! Price-quality is amazing. Really clean rooms and bathrooms. We had access to two shared bathrooms. In the beginning I was sceptic about it, but this was not necessary. It's an awesome old and beautifull house with a lovely elevator, I felt completely in love with when we arrived. They've taken really good care of us. We stayed for 4 nights and got even new towels after the second night. There is showergel and shampoo in the bathrooms. It is really stunning how much you get for the price you pay. I definitly would go back when I'm in Barcelona again!
There are thin walls and therefore sometimes noisy. Bring earplugs if you mind, for me it worked out just fine buying them in the nearest pharmacie.
Really charming place with very nice and helpful staff. Rooms are quite large and bathrooms very clean.
Nothing to say in this section
Position, character ,great 200 year old building building
Nice view from balcony Elevator Good internet in the room
No privacy, you can hear what your neighbour whispers
Perfect location, very helpful and welcoming staff, impeccable cleanliness, great interiors
WiFi connectivity in the room was sometimes interrupted
Everything about this authentic and cozy catalonian accomodation was utterly charming.
Excellent hotel - cheap and beautiful. Here wrote that Eddie rooms difficult to find. I found it at once. The letter after the reservation will detail how to do it. And if you pay attention to the bell at the door - everything is written there :) Nice, friendly staff. Small, neat room for two. I lived in it alone. Clean shared bathroom with all amenities. There is a beautiful living room with tea and coffee. What else should a traveler ?! Would advise the hotel to my friends! :)
A little noise from the street made it difficult and the next room
Location, location & location. Within walking distance to most of the places of interest.
The noise from the bath room, but it is understandable as it is a old building.
nice, my girlfriend liked it but I didn't feel comfortable there. Don't like 1euro for printing one page (boarding pass)
friendly staff, location
one of the old guys from the staff is so noisy. you will hear him on his phone all day shouting into the phone. soooo noisy. walls are paper thin. if your neighbour is smoking (not allowed, but some do it) or talking it, it's like in your room. Lousiest sleep ever!!! and I've travelled a lot, but this was probably the worst. If you're in Barcelona to party, then maybe it's fine
