There was everything you needed on site....ATM, groceries, restaurants, bars, swimming

In the first apartment we stayed in ..Cappuchino, there was a goat pen behind. At 6pm the goats all came to get fed and the smell was horrid.

The whole site and the way first impressions impact on how you feel about the place. It was very clean well maintained and the quiet well planted winding pathways bringing you to your accomadation or the pool or shops are only beautiful.

Nothing Would recommend this great location/facility to friends.

Parking looked like it could be tricky at peak times.

we have been before, so recent return has not changed my opinion that it is 1st class value for money location. the upkeep is wonderful gardens, pool, maintenance of the painting of the villas is tremendous

Excellent accommodation within strolling distance of Nerja town centre

Capistrano is designed like a traditional Spanish village and very well kept. Staff are excellent. Apartment was excellent with a lovely garden. It is a 15-20 min walk to beach/town but that is good as it is so peaceful here.

The apartments/villa's are located in an urbanisation with with lovely gardens and nice surroundings. Walking distance to both beach and city center of Nerja. (15-20 minutes walk). Apartment was clean and tidy.

Some basic kitchen and bath room cleaning accessories like: dishcloth, scourer, soap etc. would have been nice to have available.

Too many steps to climb. Property was damp and very cold

Traquil, well spaced out with great views over Nerja and the sea. Set on side of hill so you need to enjoy walking and be a bit fit. Price made this exceptional value for money.

Bit dated, kitchen equipment basic, some washing-up stuff would have been useful.

This is my 4th stay here. Love the accommodation and very quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed the Cave Bar also.

Good value liked the well kept surrounding gardens. Cave bar worth a visit.

Parking could be a problem during summer.

It was the third time we came there and once again we have spent wonderful holidays. The staff has been very nice and willing to offering us the best appartment they could. The place is calm, beautiful and very well-maintained with plants and flowers, the majority of the "pueblos" has a seaview. We never used the car to go to the beach, it's about a 15 mn walk, some would say a bit steep but good to keep you in a good shape. We will go there again definitely.

The village was beautifully landscaped, a real delight to walk through. the pools and gardens were lovely. and the apartments were so well planned, privacy was very good. A very pretty village.

We were given a better villa than we had paid for - we requested sea view - and were therefore given a villa with a huge terrace and the most amazing views! Quite a climb, but truly worth it. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. After enjoying all that Nerja has to offer it was good to retreat to El Capistrano for peaceful and quiet surroundings. If the walk is too far for you then a taxi costs only 7 euros from Nerja, and there is an hourly bus for 1 euro each. El Capistrano far exceeded our expectations.

We knew the location was a long way from the beach, but this was not a problem as we had a hire car. IF you want a primary beach location, then this is not the place for you, but from our perspective it was superb.

How a holiday village should be.

Not a Thing!! Nice staff lovely gardens.

We loved the fact that we could book a nice villa for 2 nights which was really well located and had a great (well two) pools that we could use early and late, after a trip to the beach. Would have been happy to stay there longer and explore the local area. Supermarket on sight was really good. Villa had all necessary equipment and was clean and in good condition.

I fell in love with this village style complex at the very first glance. We very 4 friends traveling around Spain and this hotel finally brought us the service and beauty you want to see in Spain. We had a villa with orange tree in the terrace and the kitchen was big, we could cook breakfast and dinner there. Nothing better than a breakfast to Amelie soundtrack at the garden table laid out with checkered table cloth. While villas and the sea make beautiful harmony and the price was very low comparing other hotel rooms in Spain, leave out that in Nerja you get the whole villa for the price of a room. freedom of being in your own apartment private balcony bar and restaurant was good value with friendly staff near beaches, town centre and local supermarket.

apartments appeared quite old and could have done with being updated could have been cleaner and tidier especially outside and the balcony high daily cost of hiring sun loungers near swimming pool difficult to manage heavy cases up and down steps from available parking spaces. ramps would have been more helpful
