El Coto Hotel Restaurante  

- hotel itself very pretty, rooms nicely decorated - the female staff member who checked us in & served us dinner etc was so friendly & helpful - very good value - great location just off motorway which was just what we wanted (on our way from Salamanca to Biarritz) - it is an odd sight to see a beautiful old hotel and church in the middle of a business/industrial park (it must have grown up around it) but once you are in the hotel and its grounds you really don't notice.

- we were quite confused by what we could have for breakfast. The bar/restaurant does a thriving trade for the local businesses, around the time we went for breakfast (10.30). We asked the bar man (in Spanish) and he pointed to the sandwiches/montaditos etc and said we could have that....they looked great for lunch but we didn't want a tuna sandwich for breakfast. He finally mentioned toast so we went for that but I was left hungry and wasn't clear if I could have anything else. Some information in the room or bar about breakfast for hotel guests would be useful. - But overall lovely hotel

The hotel is clean and smells fresh; in addition it has that hard-to-define atmosphere of luxury and quality. It was very pleasant to stay here, and we would do so again given the chance.

There are no shops or restaurants around the hotel. However, it makes the environment quiet and pleasant.

Nice friendly family run B&B. Great value good food at the attached restaurant.

Difficult to find

the room was excellently designed and appointed, although the location is in an industrial park once you were at the Hotel it did not feel like that. there was a small village charm to the location complete with a small church. we arrived at lunchtime and had an excellent meal providing great value.

although the shower seemed to be state of the art, the rain shower head was in an awkward position while the secondary shower head bracket was broken, having a shower was a very difficult procedure. based on our experience at lunch we decided to also take advantage of not leaving the facility and try the dinner offering. this was very disappointing and poor value compared to lunch.

The room is too small. The bathroom is the kind of pré-fabriqué plastic. The whole room felt if I were in a mobile home.

The owners are always very friendly and the food is really good. The roons are very nicecwith lots of thoughtful touches. We love staying here.

De kamer op de begane grond was uitstekend en voor een mindervalide heel goed. Prima badkamer. Goed bereikbaar. Kleinschalig met een eenvoudige maar goede kaart. Prima personeel.

Een aandachtspunt. De kamer was voor mindervalide goed toegankelijk. Mogelijk zou een stoeltje op klapstoel aan de wand het kompleet maken.

El personal muy mal educado y nada atento, el dueño tenía síntomas de embriaguez.Nos levantaba la voz, de hecho, de haber podido habría cancelado la reserva. No recomiendo a nadie este hotel, caro relación calidad-precio y la habitación estaba sucia.

Trato cercano y familiar.

La ducha es de las de extraño diseño moderno. Antes de que sepas como funciona ya te has empapado entero (y con agua fría) y mojado el baño entero. Después ya funciona bien.

Personal amable, dispuesto a agradar en todo lo posible. Habitacion bonita, bañera hidromasaje genial.

Me ha encantado el trato tan familiar que te dan los dueños del hotel, ya vayas sola o acompañada. Las instalaciones están perfectas y calidad precio es muy bueno.

Das Hotel / Restaurante hat ein rustikales / romantisches Ambiente. Die Inneneinrichtung bzw. Zimmereinrichtung hat mind. 1 Stern mehr verdient, zumal man die Relation zum Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis wahr nimmt.

Bis auf die eine oder andere (technische) Kleinigkeit, Z.B.: - Die Nachttischlampen sind nicht getrennt an- bzw. auszuschalten. Das kann stören, wenn der eine Partner noch lesen, der andere aber schlafen will. - Die Dusche als solches ist gut, aber man kann nicht erkennen, welche Seite des Handknaufs das warme/heisse Wasser läuft und welches für das kalte Wasser ist. Auch der Ziehknopf für die Festdusche / Handdusche ist so eingestellt, das bei leichtem Wasserlauf (z.B. Ziehknopf springt zurück) es von oben einem direkt kalt erwischt. Eine Hebelfunktion täte hier sicher Abhilfe schaffen.

N q ada la pena que nos llevamos ademas de la despedida fue no haber podido probar lo que intuimos debe de ser la comida casera que hacen en su restaurante tenia la cocina cerrada por vacaciones del personal pero como te dije volveremos a probar tu cocina biendo como cultivas en tu propia huerta creemos que todo sera esquisito asi que voveremos

Chambre de qualité supérieure tendance chic avec douche italienne. Décorée avec goût. Parking aisé juste devant l'hôtel.

Cet hôtel restaurant doit surtout travailler avec le tourisme d'affaire de la zone industrielle toute proche. De ce fait, le week-end, c'est un peu relâche: Nous avons du prendre notre repas au bar car le restaurant était fermé. Bonne qualité pour un très bon rapport qualité prix (12,50€/personne). La chambre vendue avec climatisation nous a été donnée sans la télécommande, malgré notre insistance/ Le petit déjeûner n'est servi en week-end qu'à partir de 9h, ce qui peut faire un peu tard lorsque l'on utilise cet hôtel comme étape vers le sud du Portugal.

Nonostante la posizione in cui e' collocato, l'hotel e' al di sopra delle aspettative. L'edificio, la reception, e le stanze sono ben curate e dall'aspetto intimo e raffinato.

Das Hotel liegt außerhalb der Stadt in einem Gewerbegebiet. Am Wochenende ist das Restaurant geschlossen. Wir waren an einem Samstag dort und konnten am nächsten Morgen nur mit Schwierigkeiten ein Frühstück bekommen. Das Hotel mag für Geschäftsleute aus dem Gewerbebetrieb interessant sein, ist für Tourismus-Reisende jedoch nicht zu empfehlen.
