drinks here are very expensive, and icecreams for the kids - i got caught for 2 icepops at €6! but that was my own fault, i was too lazy to stroll the little supermarket ( which is 2 min walk away!)
we wanted to be away from the noisy, messy side of benidorm, very near a beach and some nice restaurants & we got all of that. basic, no frill accommodation, but just perfect for us & 2 small, messy kids. figured out after the second day that we could change the audio setting on the TV, so we found a good few English progammmes ( the ones that were dubbed to Spanish, you could change the language), pool was lovely, but the proximity to the beach was fabulous! quiet at night, even the last night there were a few stags in, but didn't bother us. If you are looking for luxury, then it is not for you, but if you are happy with clean, basic accommodation at a fabulous price( which means more money to spend on lovely wine and tapas!), then it is ideal. We got buses in to the old town, and also walked it a few night, lovely stroll on the promenade. I will go back.
