The place is a rare gem in the middle of nature; surrounded by silence, peace and beauty. And the staff is especially kind, helpful, warm and welcoming. It’s a pleasure to stay … and the energy and vibration of the place is pure and real. A treasure!

A beautiful building but unlike any other casa rural we’ve stayed in. Beautiful view off the back. A drying rack for hand washed clothes.

Casa La Union is a recently renovated guest house in Castrojeriz where guests can make the most of its terrace and shared lounge. Beauty services and a bicycle rental service are available for guests....
Hotel room was clean. Nice little balcony but could only use it to dry our clothes. Our room was western exposure and became extremely hot. Unbearable . I would not recommend this hotel to my friends. Hotel was basically empty and they could have been thoughtful enough to put us on Northern or Eastern exposure. If I had know I would have asked for the western or eastern side.

This is a fascinating town because of its length, full of surprises, its churches, its convent from where you can buy cakes and Tau crosses, its castle you can climb up to, a castle that has been renovated and is well worth a visit.
I stayed in the dormitory section and it was quite comfortable. the owners were delightful. There was an excellent bar and restaurant at the hotel and I had a wonderful pilgrim's meal that night with a delicious garlic soup and excellent entree. The hotel also had private rooms. I would definitely come back here to stay. Plus the dog at the hotel is adorable and is painted in part of the mural in the back courtyard.
Brand new boutique hotel, build on the grounds of the ruins of a convent. The facility and rooms are completely modern and very casual chic. Large grounds behind the hotel, there is a restaurant, which I did not try but the menu sounded quite interesting. They have a self serve mini snacks, wine and beer alcove. A very tranquil and beautiful stay, highly recommended.
Amazing new albergue just at the entrance of Castrojeriz. The owner was super friendly and welcoming and helped organise a taxi back to Burgos for my husband. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Castrojeriz is a lovely town with loads of history - possibly one of my favourite stops on the Camino so far!
Owner was very genuine and friendly made everyone feel welcome and at home. Lovely rooms and patio. Close to town. Very friendly locals and pilgrims. Owner went out of his way to help. Very hard working and you could tell his heart was in the Hotel and we would love to come back and stay longer.
Located right at the end of Castrojeriz, Rosalia is a great pilgrim hostel to mingle with other pilgrims. It doesn't take long for Rosalia fill up. I enjoy my stay here. Javier is a great host and the breakfast was perfect for the next day's walk!
This is a fantastic place. Best place we've stayed on the Camino. The owner and family are really nice and helpful and the restaurant serves good tasty food. Rooms are spacious and clean. Castrojeriz is also a nice laid back place to stay.
The hotel and gardens were gorgeous.
There was large footbath in the garden . The staff was great- helpful, courteous, and spoke English. Hotel Manager Leandro and Assistant Manager Christian set the bar high as innkeepers.
The Emebed Posada hotel is absolute perfection. From the lovely proprietor, Margarite to the beautifully designed rooms, artwork and dining space, it is an exceptional property. It was a calm and relaxing experience.
Great location in Castrojeriz. Walled garden with tables and chairs, good dinner available, super clean and comfortable. Owners also have a restaurant/bar across the street with a great garden and good food.
Everything was superb. A real gem on the Camino trail. Spacious room. Interesting and gorgeous old house/hotel. Wonderful welcome. Fantastic views from the breakfast room. Safe bike storage
