We appreciate that this is a very old building, and though our room was fine, the bathroom and fittings, unfortunately, were very much in need of an update. It was cramped and the lighting poor. Because we had dogs with us we were given a room at the far end of the building which was some distance from the car park. Although we had help with our suitcase, we had to carry dog beds and other luggage ourselves - making several journeys. We felt we weren't able to ask for further help as the staff seemed to be busy elsewhere. A trolley of some sort to transport luggage would have been extremely useful!
The evening meal was quite acceptable, but for some people the portions would be a little on the small side. The cheese slices, though nicely presented, were so thin we could see the colour of the plate through them!
We chose El Moli because it was dog friendly. The staff were charming, and very welcoming. Location was excellent, we followed the instructions given and found the farm first time! We had the "Rosa" room which was spacious and comfortable and furnished in a pleasant rustic style that harmonised with the age of the property. We very much liked the rural aspect and spacious garden. I enjoyed walking our dogs up to the farmyard - the first time they had seen cows or chickens! Fortunately the weather was good, so we ate our meals on the terrace overlooking the garden, which was most enjoyable. The anti-mosquito candles were a pretty and essential touch at night! Breakfast was excellent - we asked for, and got, wonderful scrambled eggs and bacon. There was also an good selection of cheeses, homemade jams and marmalade and the most delicious cakes.
Depending on the way the wind was blowing, there was a farmyard odour in the air but to be expected on a working farm - our dogs found the aroma quite tantalising!
