El Montico  

It was very clean and comfortable and easily accessable from the motorway.

Close to motorway and easy to find at night. Food available until 11pm. Free wi-fi.

The hotel and staff were very friendly and welcoming of dogs. This was excellent on our journey to and from UK via Santander .

Just off the motorway. Very easy to find, even in the dark. Pets are allowed which is important for us. Ideal stop from Portugal to Santander ferry. We had a very nice meal in the restaurant at 10. 45pm, we didn't feel we had to rush. Will stay there again.

Comfortable bar and lounge area. Clean comfortable room.

There was nothing that we did not like.

The food was good. The owners and staff were very helpful and they made a big hotel seem personal and comfortable . The bar restaurant area was very pleasant with a roaring log fire and comfy seating. The location not far from Burgos on our main through from southern Spain to France was perfect.

Food in the restaurant was quite ordinary. Quality of coffee was not great.

The rooms are a little worn out. The glazing doesn't keep out the noise of the nearby motorway.

staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. also very close to the motorway, and had a nice pool.

although the staff were friendly there was only one person who spoke english. i was also disappointed that the pool didn't open until 11am, as this made pre-breakfast swim impossible! the worst thing about the hotel was the restaurant, which was hugely overpriced, and served absolutely tiny portions of very mediocre food. (the steak and chips was just a very small steak with 10 small chips, and the salmon was greasy with a similarly tiny portion of chips, and neither dish came with any vegetables or salad.) I would recommend El Montico for an overnight stop due to its location, but definitely not for a holiday, and definitely take your own food!

The hotel was lovely very convenient for our onward trip to Portugal. It was spotless and the staff were very helpful. We didn't arrive until late but were still able to eat in the restaurant even though it was 10.30pm. Would book again.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms were of a good size, very clean and comfortable. Meal of the day was of excellent value and quality. An excellent choice for an overnight stopover

hotel is afgelopen tijd afgegleden.achterstallig onderhoud,weinig personeel. vergane glorie. ontbijt was verre van wat het eerder was. Veel trappen,niet toegankelijk voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn.

Hôtel accueillant et agréable, Nous avions déjà séjournés en 1985.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel,prima eten.Lig erg gunstig vlak bij de snelweg,maar je hebt het idee dat je in de bossen zit.Zeer gezellig ingericht.

Veel trappen.voor mensen die slecht te been zijn,nogal moeilijk.Rolstoelers kunnen hier niet terecht!
