The hotel is in the center of Ronda, with panoramic views of El Tajo gorge and just around the corner from the Plaza de Toros famed as the birthplace of bullfighting.
Score from 503 reviews Very good
Perfectly located to visit Ronda Very helpful staff Great value at a reasonable price
The location, great cafes and now a local bus service
Ronda is becoming run down, lots of places closing down, even the shop at the railway station. The coffee shop/restaurant at station is not very clean...
The character, decor and furnishings of this poet's house all added to the charm. The bathrooms were beautiful with their brass fittings. Staff were friendly and helpful and incredibly tolerant of our complete lack of Spanish. It is in a great location by the gorge.
Not much! The place is at least clean, despite the dated decor.
Disappointing for the price. We booked this hotel based on good ratings, but the hotel fell far short. Unfriendly staff at arrival, at breakfast and at checkout (smiles are free!) The rooms facing the main road are very noisy. Cold atmosphere in general. Everywhere else we stayed in Andalusia (similar price bracket) was fabulous, but this place made us regret our overnight stay in Ronda. This hotel must do a lot better!
Decor in hotel and nearness to town
Breakfast could of been better only one drink in a morning is a bit mean Car parking expensive
really nice room. Excellent location. Staff was nice. Breakfast was nice. I would stay again
street noise and hotel staff outside speaking loudly. Room was very cold and the space heater only heated up part of the room.
Personnel hardly speak English, not hospitable Very greedy: just one small tube of shower gel and one small tube of shampoo for the family of 3 people We've booked the double bedded room 6 weeks before arrival, but upon arrival there were just 2 small beds. We travel with a small kid and we sleep all together. But hotel didn't change the room for us.
Cosy, elegant, comfortable hotel. Great value for money. Clean, friendly staff
Parking is really inconvenient. Be prepared to get lost in Ronda as you park.
Good room, very good location in Ronda, just next to the bridge in Ronda. The breakfast is superb!
Bathroom is a bit noisy when the fan is working.
Location of hotel, communal areas, the young lady on reception very nice, Wi-Fi excellent.
The two male members of staff on reception poor, bed uncomfortable, water not hot, no dressing table, window difficult to open.
The room was spacious Bathroom was nice with a big shower Wifi was reliable Manager spoke English and was friendly, when present. Manager announced a new staff member was coming that may speak another language than Spanish
Neither of the staff spoke any language other than Spanish (not a word of English, French, Dutch, German, Italian or Portuguese) Staff members were often not to be found, when they were found they were generally unhelpful. The manager spoke English and was more helpful but I checked in on Friday and he only came in on Monday. Mandatory upfront payment at check in (after copying passport and swiping credit card), no decent invoice available until check out because staff only speaks Spanish and didn't seem bothered. Only when I demanded to speak to the manager I was able to then speak to him on the phone, with the news I had to pay upfront (per day if I wanted) and he would only be in on Monday. Breakfast only started at 8. There is no parking space near the hotel. There is a short term loading space which was taken by other cars that were just left there overnight, also here no help in any shape or form from staff to solve unloading problems (I had a lot of luggage and equipment with me). Recommended overnight parking was 500+ meter away and 18 Euro/night. Free overnight parking space was 1100m away. Quite a lof of noise from rooms next door.
The building inside is a beauty
Noisy on street side. Breakfast choice/content shall be improved!
Excellent location and wonderful young lady on the front desk. Hotel is beautifully furnished.
We had room #3 and it had a dripping shower (shower head and hot water valve). The most concern was a noise coming from what seemed to be inside the wall of an adjoining room. The staff told us it was a problem with the ventilation (heating system). It was extremely noisy all night long of our first night, and some of the second night.
design of hotel and very friendly staff. Great location
Great location. Gorgeous suit.
The location was excellent and the bed was comfy
Breakfast not included and toiletries could have been added daily .
Hotel was beautifully presented, exceptionally clean. Room was excellent, very practical and comfortable, location was excellent.
Very simple plated breakfast, no re-fill of tea, coffee or fruit juice offered.
The staff were extremely friendly. They were willing to store luggage for 2 weeks for us, when illness prevented us from taking it. The hotel is beautiful, full of character and art, perfect location. We would return.
the style and size of the hotel. the location - close to the New Bridge. the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. I liked the simple, set breakfast.
the hotel is close to a busy road and I found the traffic noise and smell an issue. the hotel has a bar, restaurant and cafe terrace but in November/winter they're closed and there isn't a lounge area.
Location perfect - Beside the Historic Bridge with easy access to the Old and New town - walking distance to Museums and shopping streets. For hiking - beside Gorge and Valley. Intimate Hotel -Beautiful Decor. Manager and staff friendly and helpful.
Attitude of front desk
Easy access to everything that you would want to see in Ronda
Parking a bit of a challenge - like it is in much of Spain.
