The owners, the decor and the location.
Great location just a few minutes walk from tourist attractions & restaurants & shops. Staff very helpful & friendly & suggested the best places to visit. Pleasant little guest house, with a Moorish theme design. Our room had a French door which opened onto a Juliet balcony overlooking a tiled, open air courtyard, which was very pleasant to sit out at the table in the morning to plan the day ahead.
The room was a little on the small side but adequate. We went in December & the room was cold at night even with the wall heater on. I have long hair that takes ages to dry without a hairdryer. So, it would have been nice to have one provided in the room because it wasn't permissible to take one on the plane in the overhead locker.
Husband and wife who ran the place were very nice.restaurants in area excellent.
Our room uncomfortable and very small. Shower sprayed all over bathroom leaving floor wet for the whole visit. No bedside table. Poor lighting. Couldn't connect wifi. Sorry.
The hosts were charming and the decor was lovely. The place was in a quiet location, but internal noise could be a problem when there are more guests. I could hear the guest next door clearly use the toilet during the night, and the wooden doors with metal fittings echo greatly around the stone stairs and hall.
The room was dark, which was oppressive after a while. But the bathroom is the real challenge – nothing between loo, shower and bedroom. I do not recommend if you are travelling with a friend or partner. The shower had no hook so I had to hose myself down like a horse. Being November, it all felt rather chill and dark and lacking in comfort.
Location - excellent, very close to main attractions Staff - owners (Florent, Florence) and Florianne. No problem with an earlier check-in, helped us with luggage from the parking, lent us an umbrella for the one rainy day, suggested attractions and restaurants, had interesting discussion about life in Spain. Coffee-tea facilities (for free). Quiet street and room. Cute terrace to sit and enjoy the inner courtyard.
Bathroom had no door to separate from bedroom, a bit too intimate even for a well acquainted couple. Shower had no door and no curtain so all the water was falling on the floor and took several hours to drain, The sink is very small and it does not drain properly, so you cannot finish washing your hands and have to stop the water because the sink is full. Cleaning is done every day, and even though the sheets are clean, the bed and pillow covers are not washer after every guest, they show some old marks, not nice.
Great location, quirky hotel, best nights sleep of our tour round Andalucia. Great value for money.
A very minor point - the shower did not have a curtain/surround and the 'shower tray' was not big enough so the floor got very wet. Therefore, bath mat very soggy.
wonderful host made us feel at home, a great place for a quiet rest and a convenient location for going out sightseeing.
it can become a bit warm in the summer
Character of Building Location Excellent Staff, so helpful & pleasant. Old building & everything so clean & comfortable .
It was very comparable with Riads we have stayed in in Morocco.
Not in the cleanest part of Malaga.
Very quiet inside the doors. Cool inner courtyard to enjoy a cuppa. Host accommodating. Easy walk to museums and galleries, beach and alcazaba. Pumping square with good tapas nearby.
Unreliable wifi and no TV. No privacy with toilet..sharing smells and sounds
super friendly, accommodating and attentive staff. beautiful decor, clean and very well located.
my room was a bit too hot as didnt have an external window :-(
Everyone we met asked us "is it quiet there?" a common problem it seems when staying in Malaga Centro. I'm happy to report that it was indeed quiet at all times, a welcome change from the buzzing town. Always a friendly welcome from our hosts the 3 Flo's!..& a bottomless pit of hot tops, all fab. Would go again in a heartbeat.
The rooms are a little on the cosy side for 2 people but nicely decked out. As you're out exploring mainly, it's easy to adjust. We stayed for 5 nights comfortably
Very nice hotel with lots of charm and character
Rooms were a bit dark and shower needs door or curtain
Carine was most helpful with her advice and recommendations. Central location in the old part of the city made it easy to do walking tours without a car the first couple days.
One in our party used the room over the street and experienced some noise overnight, but I guess that can be typical.
The location was perfect , away from the bustle of the bar filled night spots but only a few minutes walk to everything . The decor is beautiful , artistic and the leafy patio a nice place to have a free cup of tea/coffee and use the Wi Fi . Helpful info at start about eating places for vegetarians . Thanks !
There arent any doors between the toilet and bedroom , just bead curtains ! prefer a bit more privacy ....
Location was very good. Staff (owners were very friendly)
The room were very bad. I thought it was very poor value for money.
centre of town. Nice decoration. Nice staff. comfortable bed.
there is no door to the toilets (separated by curtain). It personally didn't bother me. Not cheap for two nights. No air conditioning so the windows were open all night (lots of mosquitoe bites)
The room was quirky yet comfortable enough for a short stay (we had the room with the balcony). The real gem was the recommendations from the staff, which gave us a wonderful whirlwind experience of Malaga. They guided us to the most amazing places for wining & dining, that we would have never found ourselves. It made the short stay a memorable one.
Driving around one-way streets to find suitable car parking was a bit of a chore, as the GPS really struggled to find it.
muy bonito hotel, comodo y mjy buen trato!
Location was great, staff nice and helpful, decor was lovely - overall great value for money if you are looking for a convenient and charming place to stay.
Nice and friendly staff, cozy and well furnitured rooms in old style. AC in room. Green and beautiful inner garden. Perfect location in the old town.
No privacy in bathroom as it was not fully isolated from the rest of the room. Old and not very functional shower. Water was some times pouring out on the floor into the room after showering. Hard to get dark in the morning as there was a roof window and the blind did not work. Full of mosquitoes in the night as the window had to be open to get some air.
The location was nice.
The bathroom was very small and with the open shower everything became wet.
friendly staff, lovely decor tea-making facility good
Room needed french doors open so that noise from other guests until 2am was a major problem
Location in central Malaga. Moroccan style. Value.
Wifi slow and intermittent. No door to en suite.
