Close to city centre but far enough to be in relaxing suburb.Lovely walk along the nearby beach.
one of the main doors kept banging at night whenever the wind got up but it was intermittent.
clean, lovely hotel with very helpful staff
bed wasn,t so good, with any movement ,moves and make noise
PLEASANT HOTEL NICE DINING ROOM. NEAR BUS TO AND FROM CENTRE OF MALAGA. NICE DRIVE VIEW / ROOMS WERE CLEAN.
BECAUSE OF THE SMALL HOTEL WITH MARBLE FLOORS THERE WAS ECHO AMPLIFIED AND I FOUND THE GUEST INCONCIDERATE WHEN CLOSING DOORS IN AND OUT CAUSING THEM TO BANG.
Perfect for way access, great staff, lovely facilities... they even washed my dirty laundry free of charge!
Nothing. Everyone at Elcano was incredibly accommodating during my 2 week stay.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. I even had a special request for my fiancee, which was carried out to a high quality, with enthusiasm, better than I had expected. Making my fiancee one happy woman :) The room was spotless and comfortable. Would highly recommend to any others thinking of staying just out of the city.
No sound proofing from other rooms.
for me, the best choice I could have made: beautful nice little hostel with an very welcoming ambiance - I felt home there for 3 days! It was chilly at night and I got my own special radiator without asking, bravo and my most sincere compliments!
nothing, it was perfect, thank you very much, especially to Mode, and Feliz Ano Nuevo!
Well looked after. Made us feel very welcome.
No negative comments to make.
comfort quiet staff recommend for easy access to malaga 5star city 10 mins from airport
no tea making facilities or fridge
The politeness of the ladies, flexibility, and eagerness to help me out even though they did not speak English.
There was a problem with reservation, and had to move to neighboring facility midway through my stay. Wi-fi in the second room was very poor.
The location is good and the Hotel El Nogal (where we ended up staying) was nice, clean and beaultiful.
The staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful and didn’t know how to handle problems. The hotel had some issues with some rooms and had to move our reservation to another hotel from same group: the Hotel El Nogal! It was like a nightmare…we had a lot of problems with the check in: the reception in the El Nogal was closed by 9pm even though they say that it is open until 10 pm, so we had to go the Elcano, which is not far (500m) if you know to which direction to go. There we met a very unfriendly staff member whom gave us the card to access the hotel and room without even asking for our IDs or passports. We went back to the El Nogal, opened the outside door and found our room. For our surprise the room door didn’t open… long story short, we had to call an emergency number and luckily I speak Spanish! During the night we woke up twice with other people having the same problem to enter their rooms…
The hotel is ideally located 5 mins from a typical locals beach with numerous food and drink places. It is €1.30 into the city on a bus and is a short journey. Elacano Hotel is in a great spot for evening strolls along the waterfront. Recommended.
The room was a little small, but was regularly cleaned and the staff were nice. The price was good so we were happy with this hotel.
We have stayed at this hotel many times, think that says it all.
location: away from the center, but the bus stop is right st the hotel, 3 min walk to the beach, restaurants, supermarkets.
need a bit of renovation: the room door was quite tough to open
Close to beaches and transport, excellent value
Noisy -- ask for a room at the back oif the house to minimise road noise
Really enjoyed that we could access the hotel and the room using the credit card
We had a rent-a-car and it was easy to find a parking slot nearby (which can otherwise be very hard in the central area). For going to the center, there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel.
The room was very clean and everything worked well. Within walking distance to the beach and on the bus line into Mallaga city centre.
The english spoken by the staff was not so good, lucky I had a translator on my phone :-)
The Hotel is clean and well located. The bus stop is 10 m away. It's easy to go to the center of Malaga.
The breakfast is not a buffet and is rather simple. It could be improved.
It is a good cheap hotel with good value for your money.
