Aanvankelijk kamer in dependance toegewezen, lekkage bad, zonder probleem werd overplaatsing geregeld naar hotel zelf, was prima.

The room was dirty and old. The didnt have air conditioning prepared at that time, so I had a horrible hot night and couldnt sleep at all. The minibar was not refreshing the drinks.

One of the bests hotels in Madrid!!! Friendly staff, very clean, near from all sightseen. I'll be back without any doubts.

The location was good, convenient to city center. Room was spacious.

No wifi in room despite being advertised; room very dark; pillows very old, uncomfortable; bed too short for a man; elevator in main bldg broken, we were put in adjacent building which required exiting the hotel; front desk usually short staffed.

Location was Fantastic for main sites of city. bed very comfortable and good shower. 24 hour reception.

Bathroom very small. For a city Location and tourist area, staff to have spoken a bit more english.

Noise from polkice station next door - especially Friday & Saturday night from room on the street - would go back but to an internal room.

There was nothing not to like. Well! Perhaps the sink in the bathroom was a bit slow in draining but complaining about that would be nit- picking, I will most certainly return to the Exe Coloso

The hotel is located near Plaza de Espana, 2 minutes from metro station. The position of the hotel gives the possibility to reach different destinations even by walk. Staff was helpful.

The beds are wayyyy to hard! Pillows were terrible, like not even having one!

The location is good, which is very close to espana plaza ，and if you take a walk it is close to plaza mayor as well , I think could walk until retir parque, which is better than take the tourist bus .

The internet is really bad in the room, if you go to the lobby will be much better. And restaurant have no lunch & dinner which is not convient for a tourist if is not familiar with the city ,and the introduction restaurant from the receiption is bad

The staff were very friendly and always ready to help. The room was comfortable. The hotel is also very close to the centre (a 10-minute walk to Plaza del Sol).

My overall experience at El Coloso was superb. I highly recommend anyone that is seeking an affordable location that offers remarkable customer service, cleanliness, and convenience. I was sceptical to reserve the booking with my partner as we had been to Madrid two months prior to this trip and our stay at another hotel was horrific. Nonetheless, we reserved another booking that offered the same price range and reviews as we had to be in Madrid that week for business and pleasure. Upon arrival at the front desk area, we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist whom offered to change our room for a bigger one as we had much luggage. She even assisted with one of our hand luggage which I thought was unusual as this type of hospitality seems to be less nowadays. The room we stayed in was spotless, very clean, private, no noise coming from other rooms, fast internet connection (FREE), and even had television channels from UK, USA, Germany and Italy (FREE). El Coloso will be seeing us again very soon and I am extremely delighted to have discovered this accommodation. They made our experience stress free and enjoyable.

Room is quite large.

View to the wall, 10 meters from window is poor.

Staff were great. Location was great. Breakfast was ok, but the only hot food was sausages and scrambled eggs.

Room was hot (in winter) and smelly despite a/c, which I don't think was working well. Ceiling was too low on one side of the room as it was angled to rooftop. This, we kept hitting our heads and the shower was very difficult unless you are a very short person.

Location was perfect. The hotel can be easily accessed by metro and many city buses although for most things you won't need them at all. The staff was very friendly and our room was very spacious and soundproof. The room and the rest of the hotel areas were clean and in general in good condition.

The room price including breakfast could be lower. I would like better quality soap products in bathroom and better room lighting.

Rooms are big, comfortable. Staff are very helpful and nice.

Not all staff spoke Spanish, but luckily, I have a little Spanish language background

Hotel location is perfect, breakfast was good, price was decent.

Rooms were very nice with the hard wood floors but sound carries room to room because of it. They should consider laying down area rugs possibly.

We enjoyed particularly the location, close by all the major historic and cultural sites. It has a good quality/price ration. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

The numerous stairs to access the elevators. The fact that our taxi reservation was not done even though we double checked twice and the reception people did show us their remind note..
