Location is good close to metro, room was ok a bit old. Value for money is ok.
Location Breakfast buffet (incl. gluten free bread) Wifi
Bath room had a bit of a bad smell when not closing the sink with the plug.
Nice big clean room. Stuff is super kind, especially Sara from the reception. Close to the Royal Palace and Royal Theater, close to the metro and Grand via. For sure one of the best hotels I've been.
The pillow I got is too low and was very hard to sleep on. That is the only thing I didn't like. The rest is great
lobby and not comfort carry the bag in the room
Friendly staff Excellent breakfast
Room size - Very small room, far from what was advertised. Less then half of it. Location - Close to the center, but not in a good neighborhood.
The Hotel is very central and staff very friendly, great at solving a problem as they did a mistake with my type of room which wasn't an issue after talk to reception!!! it can happened.
nothing to say!
I could people next room.
near to metro very clean cheap near to the center city
Smart room, nice large bathroom and room
Some noise from street (dustbin men)
Really helpful staff, Good Location,
Bad Internet. No elevator for the 6th floor. I had to go to 1st floor take another elevator for the 5th floor and take the stairs for the 6. there were no signs for your way to the elevator on the 1st floor
Comfort & convenience
Nothing to dislike
Bang on the town centre!
Heating was not working.
Hotel is really at the center 3 min. from plaza de espania and 2 min from santo domingo metro stations All staff are helpful and special thanks for RAUL who made our stay easy and comfortable. market is just beside the hotel. police station is just beside the hotel. 3 min walking to Gran Via . every thing is perfect I will come again .
no housekeeping at night time . no one to lift your luggage . 2 elevators to go to your room ( you have to take 1 elevator to the 1st flour then take another elevator if you are in the 2nd to the 5th.
Good location with everything you could need within walking distance. Room was a good size and cleaners were in daily.
The layout of the hotel was very confusing needing a lift to the first floor and then having to find the second lift the other side of the hotel to reach upper floors. Was quiet challenging after a few drinks!
Location is brilliant
Noise is so bad I didn't sleep well, not even one night, and I stayed 5. The bathroom door was not working, there was condensation marks everywhere, and when i needed the room service (the blinds were broken) they were not available although they say it's 24h.
The location was great, close to the Gran Vía and metro stations.
When we arrived the receptionist accused us of having already checked-in. The room I had requested on a higher floor had been given to another guest. They finally gave us a room on the third floor, it was dark and dingy, with very poor lighting. There was a lot of mold and mildew in the bathroom.
Poor service, very dated rooms that stank of cigarette smoke. Hotel layout very confusing. Cleaning staff were incredibly noisy at all hours
No air condition, no conford beds, we need to wait for check in until 5PM, the room furniture old, not like pictures, with windows open we hear people snoring. Bad experience.
The reception desk staff were helpful and obliging
Badly overpriced given that there was no shampoo in my room - even after I requested it. Room service is non-existent - after someone put the phone down on me twice, I gave up. I won't be staying at Coloso again nor will I recommend it to my colleagues or friends.
Bed was comfy Excellent central location Clean Large room Good storage facilities
Pillows could be bigger Noise outside on the road all night Noise outside in the corridor was bad Shower door only came half way across so everything got wet
Its very well located, close to many metro stations and big attractions like the Royal Palace. There is also a next door bazaar that had the cheapest water we found in the city. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful when called upon.
The shower could not hold on to pressure or temperature for more then 30 seconds, the towels were made of some horrible synthetic material and felt like drying with styrofoam. The air conditioning was very loud and the breakfast croissants tasted stale. Cleanup and re-supply at breakfast was also below average.
Reception very helpful and happy friendly staff generally excellent location and breakfast very good value for money quiet room with good air con
Bathroom drainage and smell. requested double bed, but ended up with 2 singles. nothing too serious.
Once you get your bearings straight, this hotel is placed where you can easily walk to many destinations and tourist attractions. It's in a safe location, a few buildings down from the police station and footsteps from 2 grocery stores. Get a map....and one will see how conveniently tucked away this place is. The assistance at the front desk and housekeeping was very accommodating and super nice, all of the time !!
The bed was very hard for me. Even with additional padding, it made sleeping uncomfortable. The breakfast needs a lot improving. The scrambled eggs and meats are catered to only one type of pallet. There needs to be an upgrade in the taste and presentation if you are attracting international travelers. Plus, the bacon is not cooked well enough for those of us who are non European. It looks raw.. After my first breakfast, I chose not to eat in the hotel anymore, and that was a big inconvenience to me.
-everywhere was clean all the time -all receptionists were helpful(they can communicate in English easily!!) -the hotel is in the vicinity of many restaurants and main streets of Madrid -the room was comfortable
-our room was near a door of a lift, hearing all the people using it -although we requested a room with a balcony we were given a room with a window looking onto the shaft, without any pre-advise
Front desk receptionist are nice and helpful, wish they are able to speak clearer English . The chambermaids are nice and friendly. Thank you.
Such sour faces for the morning breakfast in the restaurant, wish the staff will learn how to smile in the early morning, as if they are being scolded in the family a night before and come to work in such a sour face, especially your girl on July 12th.
