Its very well located, close to many metro stations and big attractions like the Royal Palace. There is also a next door bazaar that had the cheapest water we found in the city. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful when called upon.
The shower could not hold on to pressure or temperature for more then 30 seconds, the towels were made of some horrible synthetic material and felt like drying with styrofoam. The air conditioning was very loud and the breakfast croissants tasted stale. Cleanup and re-supply at breakfast was also below average.
Reception very helpful and happy friendly staff generally excellent location and breakfast very good value for money quiet room with good air con
Bathroom drainage and smell. requested double bed, but ended up with 2 singles. nothing too serious.
Once you get your bearings straight, this hotel is placed where you can easily walk to many destinations and tourist attractions. It's in a safe location, a few buildings down from the police station and footsteps from 2 grocery stores. Get a map....and one will see how conveniently tucked away this place is. The assistance at the front desk and housekeeping was very accommodating and super nice, all of the time !!
The bed was very hard for me. Even with additional padding, it made sleeping uncomfortable. The breakfast needs a lot improving. The scrambled eggs and meats are catered to only one type of pallet. There needs to be an upgrade in the taste and presentation if you are attracting international travelers. Plus, the bacon is not cooked well enough for those of us who are non European. It looks raw.. After my first breakfast, I chose not to eat in the hotel anymore, and that was a big inconvenience to me.
-everywhere was clean all the time -all receptionists were helpful(they can communicate in English easily!!) -the hotel is in the vicinity of many restaurants and main streets of Madrid -the room was comfortable
-our room was near a door of a lift, hearing all the people using it -although we requested a room with a balcony we were given a room with a window looking onto the shaft, without any pre-advise
Front desk receptionist are nice and helpful, wish they are able to speak clearer English . The chambermaids are nice and friendly. Thank you.
Such sour faces for the morning breakfast in the restaurant, wish the staff will learn how to smile in the early morning, as if they are being scolded in the family a night before and come to work in such a sour face, especially your girl on July 12th.
Friendly staff, good location next to main road grand via
Curtains were kinda transparent, one wall was water damaged
Hotel has good location, room were clean. Staff was very friendly
Sometimes the smell in the bathroom
The Coloso is pretty standard, the room was nice sized, clean and the beds comfortable. Several of the staff were very helpful and solicitous. Breakfast was ample with good variety. The hotel location was good - we could walk to the Real Palace, the metro is less than a block away, there's a ton of restaurants in a varied price range. Shopping is just around the corner on the Gran Via.
The hotel serves tour groups, so trying to breakfast when a group is powering through can challenge the staff in keeping fresh food and clean plates ready. Reception is swamped in the morning with group departures and crowded lobby. The central city hotel location means it's noisy until late, especially if you have your windows open. The wifi was very slow - seems strange for a big hotel in a major city.
it looks like gust house coz the hotel building has No reception..
Great location, friendly & helpful staff. Clean and well equipped room. Awesome wi-fi.
i think the location is super and also my room on the back side is large and super quite Probably they deserve more than 7.7 rate...i think 8.0 is a fairly minimum Also the breakfast is good
We arived in two of the warmests days in April and the air condition was not working
Nice location Nice room service Nice price Nice wifi
One of the receptionist Others are ok
Terrible Internet. Super noisy room right beside the elevator. Very dated rooms.
No available place in the parking despite of the place. It is rated as a 4 star although it seemed more like a 2 or 3 star. It was strange to share the hotel rooms in a building with regular apartments.
No worth it 4 the money I paid
We wanted a double bed but had two singles pushed together which were on wheels and was very irritating as they kept moving.
In central madrid
Hotel is dated for 4 star. Worn carpets and furniture. They had ac but it was not working. The receptionist told me that they only use it during the summer (it was 28 outside).
Perfect location Good value for money
Parking is paid at 23 eur/day Very small rooms
I loved most the way Miss Sara at reception treated us and how welcoming she was. She assisted us all through our accomodation. Even advised us were to pickup taxi to the main train station when we were leaving. The hotel in total was nice, the location was great. Very near to the best pallela restaurant in all madrid name of the restaurant was (El Serete). The breakfast buffet was great. All in all our stay was a great experience.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, good hot & cold breakfast even for vegetarian, would return.
No 2nd bath towel nor 2nd glass in room, but provided if requested and then taken the next day. Bathroom floor needed a good clean.
service is not bad.
the room is too narrow, not enough space for two persons living.
Excellent location - good breakfast.
The room was situated behind two elevators and complex corridor way. The room was also old and not in the best condition anymore.
1. Bed mattress was very unconfortable. 2. Bathroom drain was clogged. 3. The room given to me was on the staircase, could hear the footsteps of people early morning and late night.
no way to plug the computer...the plugs are different. Take an adapter. The floor is wood. The wax they use gives me allergy. The room is cold. Wi-fi signal poor as hell...
