This classic hotel, conveniently located on Madrid’s Gran Vía, has a seasonal rooftop swimming pool and a seasonal terrace with fantastic city views. Personal, nice pool and bar on the roof. Opera, the Royal Palace, shopping, theaters - all very close.

Liked the bar area Rooms are rather dated & stuffy. Didn`t like being overcharged for the room........felt cheated. The price quoted wasn`t the price charged.

Location was great. Lobby Bar was nice. Room/bathroom very clean Rooms hot and stuffy with AC turned to hot(too early in season, May for A/C apparently) when we visited. Hard beds, no tea and coffee making facilities. Over priced Lifts are too slow and you spend most of your time waiting for them. Breakfast very expensive

The rooftop pool area is fantastic, although the water in the pool is not heated- good luck with your first dip! Location is central and 5 minutes from the main shopping areas. No free WiFi in the hotel but verything else was excellent. Didn't book for breakfast, but there are plenty of cheaper options within seconds of leaving the hotel

The buffet breakfast and room was comfortable. The air-conditioning was not working properly when we arrived and took three days to fix. One of the lifts always seemed to be out of order. The pool we were told would not be open until 4th May although we had be informed by Booking.com that it would be open from 1st May. The tv hardly had any channels in English although there were at least six channels in German also there was no Movie Channel

the location is great. you can reach all the must see places by foot. they have valet parking, but that is expensive (31 euro). rooms are ok, but outdated. everything works, but is old. The furniture is old. the beds are not confertalble. Don't expect Hilton/Marriott beds. The airconditioning was in the room we were was not working properly.

City Center location, clean room The fact you didn't have free WiFi. We find this to be very cheap on your part. We stayed at 4 other apartments and hotels in Spain with all having free WiFi. Even McDonalds and Starbucks has it free.

The staff were very friendly and most helpful in advising on tourist attractions. The location was ideal for both sightseeing and shopping with several metro stops close by. The hotel was very well presented and beautifully decorated and the room was very clean and comfortable with a large well equiped bathroom. Nothing. I would confidently recommend the Emperador to anybody and will definitely stay in it when I am in Madrid again.

the location close to everything, lovely reception area bar and lounge,staff wasnt to impressed about the room, view from my room was building work was woken up in morning with sound of drilling , room quiet small no space for luggage , no extra pillows and lacking in mirros( only1 in bathroom no shaving mirrors for men) VERY expensive for wi fi!!

The hotel was in heart of in Madrid.the rooms was cleaned well.!!personels were always kindly and lovely.!! As I booked a room on booking.com was told me wifi internet is free when I arrived there personel who told me that if you wanna use internet its gonna be charged .!! So I could not have used it.!!

The classic style, the cleanliness of the room. Internet connection is crap, slow and unstable: but the price was still €13 if I'm not mistaken. Unacceptable for a 4 stars hotel.

The location was great, right in the city centre The staff were polite but not very friendly. They did not seem enthusiastic to serve us. Our first night we were given a small room, which turned out to be very noisy due to some construction going on. We asked for another room and we did get one. No free wifi. They were a bit stingy with things provided in the room (no tissues, only a few towels)
