Eric Vökel BCN Suites

Prima service. Er was een maintenance probleem bij bcn Suites wat niet op tijd opgelost kon zijn dus ze hadden voor ons in een nabijgelegen appartement (Eric Vokel industrial suites) ondergebracht en kregen vanwege de korte vertraging het ontbijt voor de eerstvolgende ochtend gratis. Je kon diverse tickets voor bv. Rondtour Barcalona en nog andere activiteiten boeken bij hen zodat je niet op zoek hoefde naar een verkooppunt. Het was heel centraal gelegen op 3min van de metro en de hop on hop off bus.

Appartement was wel wat gehorig.

Prima appartement, alle comfort aanwezig (vaatwasser, oven, wasmachine, volledige keukenuitrusting). Gezellige buurt, niet toeristisch. Vlakbij metro en Sagrada Familia.

Vriendelijk personeel en een zeer mooi appartement.

Door technisch onderhoud @EricVokel bcn Suites waren wij overgeplaatst naar EricVokel Gran Via. De entourage en inrichting zou volgens het management vergelijkbaar zijn. Dat bleek het geval: prima apartement, goede service, vriendelijk, goed bereikbaar, netjes

Helena, receptionist, always cheerful, professional and helpful. Stayed on well after her leaving time to settle us in after our late arrival due to problems with our pre-booked airport pickup. This was nothing to do with the hotel but Helena was proactive in ensuring that it was all sorted out and our departure pickup was ontime. Very quiet and clean apartment, with comfortable beds and all appliances fully functioning. One big clearly detailed book with information about the apartment and how to use the appliances. This was especially useful in working the climate control unit which had been left on 'heat' and (fortunately for us) now needed to be on 'cool'. Useful pack of dishwasher liquid, for both dishwasher and hand washing, 2 cloths and a washing machine tablet. Top floor apartment exceptionally good and spacious for 2 with front and back large roof patios with loungers, table and chairs and views across the city.

No separate toilet and bathroom rather small even for 2 people (unit 61). Insufficient shelf space for toothbrushes, make-up, etc. Only one mirror in the apartment and that was in the bathroom. Water hammer banging from roof solar water heater panels on sunny afternoons.

2 full bath and full kitchen

Internet was up and down. It would be nice to have roll of paper towels, more than 1/3 roll to TP

We get everything but more, very pleasant stay.

Very modern. Spotlessly clean. Great value for sharers. Comfortable. Great base for exploring Barcelona. Free lockers for use after checkout.

No kettle, only espresso machine. (No big deal, used the hob to boil water)

Did not recieve a balcony even though my reservation stated I would, bed was hard, hot water ran out after 2 people took showers , you must provide your own trash bags and toilet paper after you go through you 1 of each

price and facilities. staff were excellent-helpful, responsive and friendly.

the complete lack of any soundproofing meant the every sound in the building came through walls, floors and ceiling. It was not restful or fun.

We felt like at home. It is very close to Sagra Da Familia and Passage Gracia. We have walked to main places and enjoyed the streets of Barcelona.

The outlook on the plaza

We liked how close they were to the metro stations and within 20 minutes of walking you could be on the beginning of the main shopping area. We bought our 2 day red bus tourist tickets direct with the Eric Vokel reception and one of the stops was only 7 minutes walk away at Sagreda Familiar. We loved the freedom of the suites, pleasing ourselves when we had our meals. They are lots of food shops very close and a supermarket 4 minutes walk away. To have patio areas front and rear of our suite was excellent as we could have sun or shade whenever we wanted it. When we next stay in Barcelona, we will definately be staying again in a Eric Vokel suite.

Only one thing my wife picked up on, there are no full length mirrors to be found in the suites. At least one could be fixed near to a electrical socket and the suites would then be near on perfect.

The hotel is very pleasant and clean with large rooms and great location. The employees were very polite and supported and were keen to fulfill all our wishes. It’s highly recommended to book it for your next vacation.

Everything was just perfect. Nice big rooms, big tv, clean bathrooms, very nice & helpful people in the reception. I can really recommend a nice little brazilian restaurant just around the corner, called Intertropic, they had the best food that we had the 9 days we were in Barcelona.

Internet often out of service, staff messed-up my booking but at the end provided a good solution.

Good space, well-equipped and very clean

The location (narrow side street) made us a little nervous venturing out at night.

It was good suites with warm hospitality and very guide in all aspects . I enjoyed the hotel very much .

Very clean comfortable and the perfect base to get a good nights good sleep ready for exploring the city. Party of 5 with teenagers meant we had space in a cool apartment without being in cramped adjoining hotel rooms. Very convenient for tube travel. The entrance door failed to give the impression of the modern beautiful decor of the apartments within.

Directions and and explanation of what you are looking for need to better

Everything. design was good, perfect location. The old lift has been restored so gives the building character. Staff were great. Could go on and on about how nice it was....we will be back.

Air conditioning is noisy in the main bedroom. not a lot anyone can do about that. we opened the patio doors and windows instead of using it so a bit hot at night.

Interior design is nice. Staff were courteous and friendly when available.

Location itself was not that great , extremely hard to find using the Sat Nav which was further complicated by the one way systems. Arriving after 6pm when reception is closed just added to the complications of checking in. The 2 bed apartment was quite small and the view from the balcony was awful just rear sides of buildings. No toaster in rooms and both bathrooms are ensuite so when 6 people are staying can make things a litlle difficult. Having to pay an extra 20 euros for parking is ridiculous. Overall for the price we paid I did not feel we got value for money. Next time I think we would prefer staying a little further away from the city.

My wife and I stayed at an Erik Vokel Suite in Barcelona with our three young kids for a short city break in summer 2012. We were very impressed with it and would have no hesitation staying there again or recommending it to others. The apartment was quite compact, as it is in a block in the heart of the city, but makes best use of space, is modern, well fitted out, clean and contemporary. It is a self catering, self service type apartment but the staff are on hand when needed and are friendly and helpful. It also represents good value for money compared to a hotel and is well located near the Sagrada Familia and a metro station. All in all we were very happy with our stay there and would happily recommend it to others.

The only downside for us is that the elevator and staircases are quite tight for space when carrying luggage and a push chair, which is simply because of the layout of the building, but that was a relatively minor issue.
