Quiet Very Clean Large Room Very friendly helpful staff Able to recommend without hesitation
I loved the locati on, I loved the people who run it. It was very clean and friendly I felt comfortable and safe.
more than enough space in our room with lots of storage in the wardrobe, two tables with a bedside cabinet with drawers. Own bathroom and a good size balcony. Spanish tv in room. We took a travel kettle and tea bags so we could have a cup of tea in the mornings.Everyone very friendly and helpful. Beds and towels changed daily.
Mostly good but we did find it a bit awkward when you had to ring the the bar was closed. We felt like we bell to be let in the building when were disturbing the owners, although they appeared to be ok. We were right on the corner where the traffic was in full view and was a bit noisy. Might be a bit quieter elsewhere though. Be prepared if you want to go down to the beach that there are a lot of steps to climb back up, keep you fit though and worth it,
The room looks like the time has stopped somewhere in the 70s or 80s but that is one of the reasons why we actually liked it. It was basic but very tidy, clean and the top score goes to the lady who is working there (or she may be the owner) - she was really nice and friendly. We stayed there just for a night as we had to catch an early morning plane and for that purpose we needed no better!
Its a cheap place to stay and near to the airport, parking and places to eat.
Stayed in the garden bungalow. much noise from the street, especially buses. the room was quite shabby but okay for one night.
smell of cats pee in corridor.having to ring bell to gain entry
We arrived at 0200 sunday 19.10.14, and nobody was in the hotel ! We had to drive further in the middle of the night. Bad expirience !!
The staff were very friendly and the place felt like home in spite of the negative things.
Bathroom was not very clean. There's was dust and hair that wasn't my own. Towels were worn out and bad quality. All linens were washed in stinky washing powder. It should be washed in none scented washing powder in stead.
The couple who own and run the hotel are so friendly. The room was large and comfortable. They charged no deposit and was only 20 euros for a night. It's surprising how they can offer that so cheap. Next time I fly from Malaga I will definitely be staying there again.
Friendly owners. Central location Cleen room
Not very good impression from the outside as cats everywhere and smelling of cat wee. Very hard matress/uncomfortable bed Noicy aircon
Location was really excellent - 5 mins from main San Miguel street. Kind of close to the beach. Staff very friendly, gave as an apartment instead of simple room. Lot of free parking around.
TV didn't work
Josephine was her usual helpful, friendly self. Nothing seems to a problem The room was cleaned every day and was spotless The location could not be better, right beside the centre of everything, like restaurants, bars, bus, train, beach
Would like English channel on television in room
Near the centre
Having to ring to get in at the early hours. No good for the single man if you know what I mean
Nice and helpfull people, cleans rooms, good position to go in the centre of the town. Free parking close the hostel and very nice little town.
Nice location close to Torremolinos center Very clean room and nice coffee bar downstairs Very friendly staff
If your not a lover of cats this could potentially be a problem. A bit cluttered in reception area.
Well located Morning bar at ground floor
Old building Not extremely cheap Low WiFi connection
smelly bathroom, poor decor, needs updating
The staff was very nice people who gave us an apartment close to the beach with a swimmingpool when they saw our reaction to how Hotel Escandinavia really looked like.
The building looked like it's close to fall apart any minute. Nothing have been done to improve the place probably since they built the building.
I had room at the top with a terrace Brilliant
Wifi was fine.
I arrived around 11.30pm and booked this last minute because it was crazily cheap which is why I didn't leave immediately. Now I know why it was so cheap. The communal area stank of cat pee, in fact the offending creature was sitting there. I assumed this would not be in the room but should have guessed when the windows had all been left open. It's not a safe location so was a bit worried about leaving the window open at first but had no choice due to the stench. The toilet didn't flush properly. There were Mosquitos in the bath. The floor was dirty. Bed one in the twin room had ripped sheets which looked like the previous resident may have been stabbed in their sleep. I opted for bed two but wish I'd brought my sleeping bag. Needless to say I left in a hurry in the morning and checked in elsewhere.
reasonable price for 2, close to the centre, & owners are brilliant
The brother and sister who run the hotel were fantastic.
