Location Price Clean
Check in - no one there and had to wait over 1/2 he for them to arrive No blanket only sheet Lock on bedroom door felt very insecure
Not the nicest welcome to check in - lots of messing about. The building it is in is a little tired.
Near to the city center
Our host Antonello was perfect, he helped us with everything we needed. Very clean, not noisy. Free tea and coffee, hair dryer, refrigerator. Good restaurant on the ground floor of the building and 5-min walking distance to Catalonia square.
The room window faced elevator well :)
Excellent location with basic amenities. Ok value for money during the tourist season.
Not suitable for sleeping.
everything, I have submitted a complaint of my concerns
The bathroom was trully cleaned, the bedroom as well. It is not big, so I felt more confortable somehow.
When we arrived we had to wait 30 minutes because there was nobody to receive us in the hostel. It is a little bit hard to find.
The location is top.
Everything else - You're on your own. No staff (only during the check-in), never. To check out, you leave the key in mailbox. No toilet paper in the private wc of double room. Not so clean (the garbage bags stays all day & night in the balcony were you go to smoke, waiting for I don't know what). You can hear everything from other rooms. I mean EVERYTHING. Doors can't close, or... doors can easily be opened (so not safe for your stuff). No coffee like they said (the coffee machine is there, but no capsules) Fridge in the double room is not full with the list described, so in the end they can charge you for what's "missing". Looks like a ghost hostel: no people seen. And image all the small details that was suposed to exist in a service like this: don't exist.
Good Location, no hassle checking out.
Room had no air conditioning had to knock at receptionists door to retrieve the remote which he gave over. On the 3rd night returned back to find he had taken the remote back. Had trouble trying to get it back. You Defo need air conditioning as the rooms are hot and impossible to sleep with the door open due to the noise. Over all was okay only used as a place to sleep.
Good and stable wifi. Bathroom and toilet are clean. Location is perfect.
There are water boiler and coffee machine but they are not useable. The staff live there but you just cannot find them when you need help. They would be at the desk when you check in and the rest of the time they are disappear.
The location and the air condition were great! Bathroom was just renovated.
The owner was really rude when we came a bit too early to check in. Our room wasn't finished and the corridor and bathroom were really messy and dirty most time of the day because of the renovation. Also the machine that heats up the shower water was broken one day and I had to take a ice-cold shower because I didn't know that it was broken.
Renovation, construction in building, woke us up every morning. Were not told about this. Had to pay extra for use of towels. Poor showers Bedroom looking nothing like the photos
It has several shower room. Shared tea and pot.
You can't enter the building until check in time. It was dark, not so clean. I guess you can find better hotel in Barcelona.
Location was good and wifi was working.
For starters, this is only an old apartment - not a real hotel or even, an hostel. There isn't a reception or anything like that. When we arrived, the gentleman who received us told us that our room was 'ugly' and that, he'd "offer" us a couple of towels (which are paid) as a compensation for the ugliness. What was actually happening was that the ENTIRE apartment (which was on a different floor) was under heavy construction, with cardboard on the ground, various tools and supplies laying around and, at 8 am, several guys started working - drilling and banging on the walls and ceilings. Because all bathrooms are shared ones, we had to walk through what was basically a construction site, to use the bathroom. The AC (which is also paid) was disconnected. No hot water and no pressure in the shower. And because there's no reception nor staff, we couldn't even complain or ask for a refund.
Location is good.
Staff unfriendly, unhelpful, intimidating and hard to get in contact with (weren't allowed to knock on door so had to email about everything.) Difficult to check in/checkout. Very strict rules. Loud construction underway in hallway outside our room which made our floor dusty. No air con or fan as listed. No coffee mugs or mini fridge. No working wifi in our room so had to sit in the hallway which was being renovated. Loose wiring and powerpoints exposed. Hot water only worked sometimes. All furniture was cheap flat pack from ikea. Other people staying experienced the same as us and we're not happy either.
The location was brilliant and the room was a good size. The wifi was reliable
The member of staff who greeted us wasn't very friendly and didn't speak a lot of English. The floor in the room wasn't clean. Our bin wasn't emptied and we had to buy our own toilet paper. We were bitten by insects quite a lot and I'm fairly certain this was because the bed had bed bugs.
Great location, metro is quite close. Bathrooms were clean, wifi reception is good, internet is fast. Quite cheap.
The receptionist doesn't speak any English whatsoever. He is only available between 11am and 11pm, and sometimes even then he isn't there. Whilst you have to check out before 11am (and if you want to leave the luggage, you need him). Also, airco and towels were not included. Sheets were not changed once during our week. Lots of "rules" in very bad "English" in the rooms and shared areas. Thin walls, squeeky beds.
The location is excellent. Rooms are clean. WiFi and hot water available 24/7. Sufficient number of bathrooms too.
Until the second night my only complain was the bed which was a little bit uncomfortable. The problem started the second night when i went to the bathroom after midnight. There was a cockroach as big as my thumb. I rushed out and went to the second bathroom, there was one also...I've read that all over Barcelona there is this problem in the summer..but nevertheless i don't need to point out the grouse feeling and the quality of my sleep after that.
The location was close to the city center but expect sleepless nights as you have to open the window to compensate for no-airconditioning and broken ventilators in this old hostel.
- Aggressive staff that walks around in Free Fight / Cross Fit shirt. His behavior towards the guests was very aggressive and rude. - Staff does not speak English and shouts that you are in Spain and should speak Spanish. Then why are you advertising on an international website in English? - Toilets were often very dirty. - Showers were very dirty. - There was no toilet paper available, in none of the 2 toilets. We always had to take 1 with us. - The ventilator in the room was half broken and did not turn around. - The sofa had a deep split in the middle: such a sofa is not bed/sleep worthy. - The rooms were NOTHING like in the pictures. Summary: Aggressive staff, broken equipment and bed, very dirty bathroom and toilet, uncomfortable bed and old and shamble of a Hotel. STAY AWAY
The hostel was close to a metro station, in a gret part of town and a short walk to La Rumbla. The host was nice and accommodating even with language barriers. The room and bathroom were clean.
There were no kitchen facitilites so we couldn't cook our own meals while travelling.
Hotel is situated in center of Barcelona near Rambla street ,
That was not easy to find a front door of hotel at first time , no any special sights
We arrived at 3am in the morning(later then expected due to flight delay) but it was not a problem for the staff! The hostel is very central. Small 24h supermarket close by and some nice restaurants and bars. Room was big.
The room was newly renovated but not finished yet! Still there was a lot to do. There was now furbishment except the bed and one table. No towels included. You need to bring everything.
The location and wifi is unbeatable. No issues.
Check in was not smooth. Staff was not on the site at time of check in and had to call twice. First impression was an amateur operation with the philosophy of nickle and dime the customer with extras that are usually included in rates such as towels etc. Noise is an issue. You probably have at least a 50 percent chance of being exposed to the traffic on gran via. The solution of the staff was that I should get ear plugs. To put this in perspective I was willing to leave this place to get another hotel just to ensure I could get a nights sleep. Luckily I was tired enough from staying up for 24 hrs to sleep. If you don't need sleep and just need a place to store your luggage I recommend this place, if you want a place to act as a sanctuary after a good night in town this is not the place. Lastly, the staff is not impressive or helpful, don't expect much.
Easy, fast, great location!
My comfort level is higher, even if it was perfect for my money
From the airport to the location you need to take A1 or A2 bus (depending on the terminal) and you'll get there in 30 minutes. The location is great :near Catalunia, near metro, near bus. If you want just to visit and you are not interested in great confort or facilities, this is a great place to sleep and take a shower. Nobody bothered us, it was really ok for the price we paid.
1. The noise comming from outside (but it understandable since you are situated on the most circulated street). We were so tired after visiting that we didn't hear the noise. 2. We didn't have towels at all 3. The fact that we could hear people from the camera next to us talking.
