However, I booked private parking, which was not available due to roadworks. Not the hotel's fault, but they didn't bother to contact me to let me know. As a smoker, I joked with the receptionist about having to stand outside in 35°C to smoke -next morning I discovered the hotel has a shadt terrace I could have used! I had water, a glass of coke and a shandy from the bar and was charged 8 euros. When I showed surprise, receptionist shrugged and moved away when I asked for a receipt. I let that go but I'll know better next time. On leaving the next morning, I was struggling with a number of bags and the swing door. The receptionist rushed over, to help me as I thought, but actually to give a newspaper to someone, then sat and carried on reading. These things would not bother most people, but they left bad taste and I wouldn't stay here sfsin
The hotel was easy to find and space to park to unload was plentiful. It was quite central and handy for a stroll around the town. The room was comfortable and quiet, despite facing the street.
