Pretty much everything.....my warning bells should have alerted me to the fact we had to pay a 60 Euro deposit, returnable when you leave........i have never experienced this in any county before, it should have been an indication perhaps to the type of certain clientele this place attracts.
We hardly slept a wink during the 2 nights we stayed, this wasn't so much from the busy street below, but from people arriving back very late, shouting, scraping furniture on the floor, both above us and in the adjoining studio, it was a nightmare.
On the 3rd day I asked the receptionist if we could check out early because of the problems, and also the WIFI had not worked since we checked in. She said yes but I would have to pay for that night because we told her after 12 noon. I asked to speak with the manager but was told he was available.
I looked on booking.com for another place to stay, and found a lovely hotel not far from where we were, so we enjoyed the last few days of our holiday until 2nd January.
The Spanish have a saying that cheap, very often turns out to be expensive in the end, which in this case is very true.
We actually live in Spain but in the North. Because of recent surgery I decided to stay in the country because of health issues. We went to Florida last Xmas and the Middle East the year before that, so we are well travelled, and have stayed I all types of accommodation.
We actually stayed from the 20th December until the 28th at Aqua Centre Deloix in Benidorm on half board, but when we decided to extend our holiday, they had no vacancies, so I found Estudios Benidorm as a last minute booking.
The advert said WIFI which is the 1st priority for me, as I have a 16 year old. This outweighed the fact I had to pay 70 Euros for parking almost half a km away.
