This hotel and its staff are so good!!!!

Rooms were comfortable and clean Location close to train and bus stations

great visit to Girona, city walls, the old quarter, down by the river.

the closeness to the bus and train station ,the hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful .its an old building so of course a little wonky , was only there for a night due to late flight into girona so was handy for the train next day

the small flat pillows ,but found 2 wool blankets in wardrobe so put them underneath ,if they werent there i would av used the towels ,

Hotel Europa is a very nice, budget hotel in Girona. It is a couple of blocks from the train station, and within 15 minutes walking distance of the major tourist destinations in Girona. The thing I liked best about Hotel Europa was the gentlemen at the desk. They were very helpful with a rental car issue I had. I would have been lost without their help.

Well, for $63, there was not a lot not to like. It's definitely not the Ritz but it's a decent place to stay, with a very helpful staff.

Only stayed here 1 night as I was traveling to Perpignan next day I have no complaints did the job clean & tidy and very close to train station ideal.

Could definitely do with a bar but still ok

Now have wifi gratis, asked for soft pillows and they were supplied, my friend was not so lucky. Why doesn't this hotel just buy decent pillows for all rooms? Location excellent for train travellers.

Wifi did not work above the first floor. Had to use it in the hotel lounge and it was patchy. Quite cold in the room, lack of blankets.

The location was perfect - really next street to the bus/railway station. The hotel staff was very helpful, both with the suitcase and with the directions advice.

The smell from the bathroom - that very typical bathroom-toilet smell, which I remember well from the summer Barcelona...

Girona bus station is located just outside the train station and this cozy little family owned Hotel is 5 mins walking distance from there. Very friendly staff but I think only one speaks some English. The free wifi was a great advantage and was quite fast. The rooms were small but very clean . Although there was a faint musty smell , when we entered , we slowly didn't care much about it . As all that we were looking for was a good nights sleep after our long journey from the US. It was peaceful and the breakfast was reasonable at Euro 8/person .We had a triple room , which was one bigger room with a double bed and a smaller one with single bed .For those on a budget we got a very good rate through bookings .com . All the main tourist spots like the Jewish Quarter, Barri Veill, Sant Feliu, The Call , Museum are located at a 10-15min walking distance ,

There could be more light in the rooms.

Friendly and helpful staff.

Staff was very welcoming and attentive during our stay. Very conveniently located 2 blocks from train station, and a short walk to virtually everything in Girona. Despite the proximity to the rail station and central shopping area, it was very quiet. The room was spotlessly cleaned every day, and the bed warm and comfortable. I am certain I will stay here again.

Great location, specially convenient for railway station. Plenty of restaurants, cafes nearby. A bit of a walk to city centre but not at all far. Friendly, helpful staff. Good enough breakfast. For the price and location, I was happy enough with this hotel but might try somewhere else on a future visit.

Single room was quite small and a bit depressing in decor. Strange wifi system which did not always work well. Juice served for breakfast was not good.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Perfect location for city tour and walking distance to railway / bus station. Wifi in lobby. Air conditioning very efficient. Breakfasts little bit more than coffee and croissant.

My room on the 5th floor in a very bad condition: dirty walls, damaged toilet door, terrible and irremovable smell from toilet sewage. Rooms facing the street can be noisy at night.

In our four nights at Girona's Europa Hotel all the staff were unfailingly friendly, helpful, efficient, and available.

Perhaps it was a bit far from the old centre of Girona BUT for anyone using Girona as a base to explore other parts of the Costa Brava its closeness to the Bus and Train Terminal was a big advantage.
